Possibly the inlet valve is not shutting completely. When the compressor shuts off tg he inlet should close allowing pressure to be blown down thru the blow down valve. If the inlet does not close completely the pressure air/ oil can be pushed out tg he inlet.
I'm no expert, but it sounds like maybe too much oil was put in? Maybe a seal is failing and allowing oil out?
Are you talking about the filter for the compressed air, or the motor? It sounds like the latter.
SOURCE: Air leakage through pressure switch needle
1)Let your unit pump up.
2)Turn it off.
3)Find the supply line from the pump to the tank.
4)Remove the supply line from the pump head.
5a)If you hear air coming from the tank you have a bad check valve.
5b)If you do not hear air coming from the tank, you have a leaky
pressure switch.
SOURCE: Low oil pressure light goes on until car warms up. Oil level is good
The oil pressure sending unit has gone bad. I sending unit is just above the oil filter and you can get to it from the top. When you face the Engine look down towards the oil filter, the oil pressure sending unit is just above that and it looks like a cylinder with two wires coming from it. If you don't see it, it's right between the exhaust manifold and oil filter.
If you go to Auto Zone or Parts Source, they'll have the oil pressure sending unit and the step by step instructions, When installing the new sensor. Do not use teflon tape or any sealant, the sensor is tapered and need's the good ground from the engine to give you right readings.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Check the oil pressure wire attached to the gauge usually in the engine compartment. Dirt can interfere with the signal causing a short which will give you the symptoms you describe. Hope this helps

SOURCE: why does my compreeor switch release the air after
There are two valves in play here. There is a relief valve that opens when the motor kicks off to release the pressure in the compressor itself. That is normal, and is required so that the motor can restart next time without having to overcome that pressure. The other valve is the problem. It is a reed valve between the compressor and the tank. This valve's job is to prevent the air in the tank from returning to the compressor. Think of it as a ratchet for the air. It is this reed valve that has failed.
