How do you remove a trimtech 650 edge trimmer line housing

I just disassembled a SS24 hedge trimmer that had the same problem of the blades not moving. The problem is that there are 2 or 3 teeth on the helical gear that are missing. Consequently, the small gear on the motor shaft cannot continuously engage the gear that moves the blades back and forth.

Pull on the tap head. Straight out. Hard. Here's the Weedeater manual. http://72.3.225.179/manuals/545117522e.pdf The spool should just pull out, its held in by 2 clips, royate it till it pops up then pull it out, with a wiggling motion, Grasp firmly and pull straight out....per tech support from 800 number on machine.

it's in the fuel tank it goes from the carburator into the fuel tank and replace the fuel filter while you have the tank off.

It depends on your model. You can visit the PIVOTRIM website and they show how to install their head on most units which includes how to take your old one off. Their website is http://www.pivotrim.com
Otherwise you need to look at your operators manual or call the manufacturer.
