Oregon scientific hr 102 cannot activate. I have the ****** Manuel but does not mention how to activate watch. Have have purchased watch without battery installed or existing battery is flat.

I have the same problem with changing the battery.What ever ya do dont try to take it apart! i just did it and found the sides were glued in.Ended up bustin a chunk out of it.

Sometimes the watch needs to be reset. Take off the back. Locate two "pads" labeled "RST". Short the two pads with the 2 mm screwdriver you used to remove the back.
