My sears k1026 has two 3v batteries . Do I place them both with + side down

I assume you mean that the entry keypad works when the door is open but not when the door is closed. This usually indicates that the signal strength on the entry pad is low. Try changing the battery.

Insert a small Philips screwdriver in the opening on the bottom of the battery compartment cover. Pull the cover slightly outwards then pull the cover down. The battery in the compartment is a 9V battery. Then replace the cover by inserting the lip in the top of the battery compartment and then snap it into place.

If you change the battery quickly, you shouldn't need to reprogram the opener. If a new battery doesn't solve the problem, check what may be causing signal interference when the door is down. (Consider moving the keypad to a spot closer to the door opening. I know that we have the keypads placed on the side of the door jamb on our garage doors. When the small handheld remote units start to loose their batteries, bringing the remotes to that area that often works.)

Turn the remote upside down. On the bottom (end away from the front), there is a small cover and the cover has a small tab on one side. Squeeze the tab and pull the battery tray out. The replacement battery is a CR2025. Put the new battery in with the + sign facing up (exposed). Reinsert the battery tray and push all the way in until it clicks.

That sounds quite high. Have you tried stores such as Batteries Plus, Auto Zone, etc.? They will most likely have what you need and most install them for you.

With engine compartments getting smaller and smaller, engineers are getting better at packing all the stuff inside. Unfortunately, that doesn't always make it easy for the owners to do simple things like replace the battery.

Sears is a fine place to purchase a battery. In the event you need an adjustment in tue future, there are Sears stores across the country (presuming you live in the US). Another thing about Sears, if you are at a larger store, they can probably install the battery for you for little or no charge. While you are there, you can have them point out your battery location. Simple.

Of course there are other fine retail outlets who will do the same ... your local auto parts store for example. You may find a wider choice of battery at a competitive price at a auto parts store.

Depending on where you are in the country there are several places to find these. THere will be numbers on the side of the tire that you will need to write down. Atwoods, Sears, even some Home Depot, and Lowe's stores will carry these tires. If none of these are found, check a local lawn/outdoor sports company and I am sure they can get it for you. I do know that Sears can get these.

Is there a few places to locate the battery on cars up to date.

But on your 02 Lesabre. The BATTERY is located on:
Under REAR PASSANGER SEAT.
If you open one of the Rear DOORs you will need to remove the
Rear Back seat, after that you will see the BATTERY .

Remamber Under the Rear SEAT..
