Hi all, This TV has been the pain of my life for the last week. So I purchased it recently (second hand) and it had a couple of small lines down the TV, so I first assumed possibly the connectors to the LCD screen might be lose / bad ground, so I took the back of the TV off and re-seated all the connectors, turned it back on and now half the screen is white with lines down, and the other half is black. So I thought maybe its a broken t-con board, so matched up the model and part numbers (both t-con boards are exactly the same) - tried the new one, same issue. So I then thought it must be the main control board - same again, new control board came and I just tried it, same issue again. I'm not sure what else to try with this TV - it was working perfectly fine when I first picked it up (apart from a couple of faint lines down the TV) - Now as it stand it looks like (attached). Anyone got any other ideas to try? I've also tried applying pressure with my fingers to the strip that goes into the LCD panel, nothing comes on/off when I do this either.
Testimonial: "I've tried all these already - It was working apart from two lines, went to reseat the ribbon cables into the tcon board then the whole side went off - plugged in HDMI and its not showing on either side. Replaced the tcon board. same issue on both - tried switching the two ribbon cables around, issue stays on one side. Not sure if it could be the wrong voltages on the power board as its the only one i've not changed now."

There is x driver board at the bottom of the set that needs to be replaced along with its x sustain. a realatively complex project.
SOURCE: Philips LCD model 26TA1000, vertical lines and blank white screen with no picture
it would be easier to find it stripped from a damaged set on ebay.
I see several there but need the part number to search
of course you may purchase that and find it to be the lcd driver.hopefully not.

That is only available to Sony authorized servicers. See esupport.sony.com

Hi,
Basically it is problem of LCD Panel (screen) however some times T-Con board replacement fixed the issue (T-Con board is part of lcd panel but some part shop sell it separately). Main board is not related with this kind of problem.
Required T-Con board is available in ShopJimmy.com (click the link to view available boards)
If T-Con board replacement does not solve half screen vertical lines problem then LCD Panel will be replaced and it would cost approx new tv price.
Hope this info will help.
Thanks.
