Hoover smart n3815 possibly over heated, but won't turn on. Is there a fuse, or will motor be burnt out?

It was operated with partly blocked hose for five minutes

SOURCE: Hoover wind tunnel vacuum cleaner shuts off during use

Check the inlet down by the brush roll to make sure it isn't clogged. If not and the hose isn't clogged, then probably the thermo protector (part #28382093) maybe bad. It is mounted near the motor. Could be motor Part #43576188. But I would suspect a clog in the inlet or hose, or the thermo protector has gone bad.

SOURCE: 2004 Mitsubishi Diamante heat and Air blower motor.

OK... First thing it may be a (relay switch) they are cheep and installed in sec. Ok now if you dont know what one looks like then go buy one ol' rilley or pep boys or auto zone are somthing . while your there buying the relay talk to these people most of the time they are good at supporting people . So you may ask "hey can you help me find where this part is located" . Ask about the fuse to, once you get someone out there to help you . One thing I know for sure is you did look in the correct spots for these fuses but let me tell you worst case. Would be your heater switch is out. They are expensive and are only found at the dealer. I would recommend looking on e-bay if this problem comes to this. oohh if you cant figer out how to put one of these in then find a friend that is rely good at installing car stereo's Im sure you will win this problem.

Kirkland Dryer - light turns on, but the machine won't run. It was making a weird noise. The filter is clean, but perhaps some paper got caught? Did the motor burn out or did we break the belt?

There are a few possible causes for a Kirkland dryer to have a light that turns on but the machine won't run:
  1. Broken Belt: If the drum inside the dryer does not rotate when you turn it on, it could be a broken belt. A broken belt will prevent the drum from spinning and the motor from operating.
  2. Blown Fuse or Tripped Circuit Breaker: The dryer might not run if it has a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker. Check your electrical panel for tripped breakers or blown fuses.
  3. Faulty Motor: If the dryer motor has burnt out, the dryer will not be able to run. You may have noticed a burning smell or an unusual noise before the motor failed.
  4. Clogged or Blocked Vent: If the vent or exhaust hose is clogged or blocked, the dryer may overheat and shut down. This can also cause unusual noises.
  5. Defective Door Switch: If the door switch is defective, the dryer may not start, even though the light comes on.
To diagnose the problem, you may need to disassemble the dryer and inspect the belt, motor, and other components. If you're not comfortable doing this, it may be best to call a professional technician to troubleshoot and repair the dryer.

Hose setting, no suction through hose but not clogged. floor setting still works

Your filter may be stopped up and not allowing vacuum.
Your discharge may be blocked. In order to have vacuum you have to have a way to discharge the air.
Possibly your motor is weak

I found this info
Why is my vacuum losing suction?
A motor generates power which powers a vacuum which, in turn, creates suction to lift debris. The most common areas of suction loss are within the hose itself, the vacuum bag, clogged rollers, broken vacuum belt or a faulty gasket. All of these problems will lead directly to the vacuum cleaner losing suction.

Fuse replacement

it is a thermal over load unit not a fuse and operates because the motor is either running with out an air flow ( kinked hose or blocked filter bag) or is failing and requiring excessive current to run

Breville smart oven no heat or convection fan. LCD and controls working and can hear the oven clicking on.

The fan probably operated on the heat... I would tackle the THERMOSTATS, heat elements (at least 2) and/or fuse first.

My favorite supplier, appliancepartspros, struck out on Breville
(never-mind) I'll add a couple of credible ones at the bottom.

Sears parts is a good information source... but very pricey ($$$$) for the EXACT SAME PARTS you can get elsewhere...

If you can determine from your OWNERS papers which part you want to try first... get the operating parameters... and and check with a volt meter (ohms scale... power OFF)... for continuity on the FUSE, heaters & thermostat.

There is a possibility your control board (PCB) is at fault... it seems to be getting scarce... Turn it over and look for a burned/broken solder joint.

http://www.ereplacementparts.com/breville-bov800xl-smart-oven-parts-c-116052_116061_116092.html

In any case... get three prices...

In the event that PCB is the issue I do recommend LOOKING TO SEARS because of their parts support and warranty...

Good luck (finding the FUSE).

Hoover VHW654D-80 not heating

see the causes, and proceed. God bless you
f your dryer won't heat up, it's possible that it is not being supplied with the proper voltage. Here are three ways to make sure power is getting to your dryer: First, make sure your dryer is plugged in. Next, check the circuit breaker panel to make sure all the circuit breakers are in the correct positions. Finally, check to make sure no fuses in your fuse panel are blown. Any of these could explain why power is not getting to your dryer.
Heating Element

It is possible that your dryer isn't heating because its heating element is defective. Heating elements are irrepairable. If yours has ceased to function properly, you will have to replace it. Open your dryer's cabinet and locate the heating element so that you can test it.

hermal Fuse

Another possible cause for a dryer not heating up could be attributed to a faulty thermal fuse. Once a dryer's thermal fuse has blown, it is no longer of any use. If your dryer's fuse is blown, you will have to replace it. Open up your dryer's cabinet and locate its thermal fuse so that you can test it.
Thermostat

If any of your dryer's thermostats have become defective, they could be the reason that your dryer is not heating. Open up your dryer's cabinet and test each of your dryer's thermostats. If any are faulty, replace them.

Timer motor

A defective timer motor could also cause your dryer to not heat up. Test your dryer's timer motor. If it is no longer functioning as it should, replace either the entire motor assembly, or just its motor.

My dryer no longer heats

Small Diagnostics: is the gas line open, does the dryer still operate (tumble) but it does not heat, does the exhaust blow air out if so then the gas delivery, motor, vacuum motor are possibly working properly.

website http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5170716&diagram_id=28476104#d28476104

Issues might then be in the ducting or the heating unit, this is the schematic of the gas line, heating, and ducting within the core of the dryer: If you take a close look at number 16 which can be seen inside the tumbler, Sometimes the port/ matrix of small air vent can clog up due to lint. Make sure that vent is not blocked. This prevent hot air from coming into tumbler.

When a unit over heats or fails it could be related to the high limit thermostat which is a sensor that get tripped or blows when it reached its limit check and see if its fried/ burnt (number 17).

Diagram number 2: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5170716&diagram_id=28476105#d28476105

This one contains or blown out thermostat fuses check and see if they are OK on diagram 2, Part number 8 Tstat and 10 thermal fuse.

Hopefully this help.
