Now the gas log set is completely seperate from the fireplace. You would need to find out the model of the gas log set as any manufactuer of vented gas logs can go in this fireplace. Just for clarification the brand is actually Coleman but it was made by FMI. Now, the SPVBPD is a direct vent gas log set that was only designed to go into either the Amity, Oxford, or Victor hearth gas stoves. If you have the SPVBPD burner in a 36ECMII then you honestly need to remove that log set, as it was a burner only rated for direct vent fireplaces, and get a set of 18" LP vented logs. If you look at the link below you will see the owner's manual for the SDVBND. These logs need to be removed and you can go with any 18" vented log set. I suggest Peterson (http://www.rhpeterson.com/realfyre/vented-series/)
as they have the widest selection of logs and biggest array of dealers. Good luck.

I can't find an owner's manual anywhere for this fireplace, but you are welcome to see if any of these universal fan kits look similar: Universal Fireplace Fan Kits.

Security Fireplace ceased manufacturing gas fireplaces almost 8 years ago. So, finding an Owners Manual for your model would be almost impossible. Although, if you can locate a hearth (Gas fireplace) dealer in your area, that did sell them at one time, they may be able to help you.

If you no longer have your Owners Manual go to the Dimplex home page and click on the Help tab. You should be able to download the Owners Manual for your model fireplace there in a pdf format. Also look for a Trouble Shooting tab.

There's no quick answer to your problem, as it may be your gas fireplace that's causing the problem. If you still have your Owners Installation Manual look at page # 7 (Trouble Shooting), this should help you solve your problem. If you don't have your Owners Manual, you can download it online from SkyTech's website. If all else fails contact SkyTech's Technical Service Dept @ 888-672-8929
