I don’t suggest keeping it that long because even though cake mix is just dry ingredients it still can technically go bad, which means your cake won’t bake correctly.
No only a year.

Typically dry foods are good until YOU KNOW they are not, and most of then do not expire so they don't list a date and even if they do they may not be pleasant but surely safe to consume. Usually if its not perishable it won't go bad if the conditions are kept. Good luck

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Totally irresponsible advice .Any goods containing flour after one year should be discarded, and this one should have been discarded immediately. Please contact manufacturer for further advice.
There is truth to this story, yet its the warning is a little bit deceiving. In a nutshell, expired pancake and other baking mixes pose no danger to you unless: You are allergic to mold. The baking mix was not contained in an unbleached wax paper, plastic, or a foil pouch within its outer packaging
The fact of the matter is she asked is she able to store it for 4 years and if not how long. You see she won’t die or become sick from eating it and as I stated the only thing that really happens to cake mix is the quality degrades- name 1 person that’s had a health related issue over old cake mix unless it had egg or some other perishable, you act as if she would die from eating it. I’d like to further make the point that someone that wants to store any food let alone cake mix for 4 plus years is probably not too concerned with quality. I have had poor times and have eaten cake mix that we’ve had more than 4 years- and guess what, it did not bother me at all. Also for further reading you need to understand manufacturers SUGGESTIONS vs a warning label that instructs you like “use within 3 days of opening” and some may say “best if used within 3 days after opening”, they surely don’t mean the same thing. A little bit of education goes a long way. Not to mention I did give the short answer I can write a book on each ingredient and variations of mixes and the effects it may have on the human body after prolonged storage but what’s the point to that? Also the standard generic suggestion on dry and can good is 2-4 years- you can also gain some knowledge about this from being around poor people, or visiting you local food pantry where some of the food may behave been donated as a result of it expiring and the store not wanting to sell it. I hope I have help you or anyone else that May have questions about dry food storage for years.
Also I won’t delete your comment as for it may be useful to someone else, it’s best not to attract answers, questions and comments but rather respond with your information that may help the asker of the question. If you or anyone else has any questions just ask.
Good luck
Oh and I’d like to be clear I’m not saying go eat exspired food, foods may go bad before expiration or exspectation depending on storage, transport and packaging conditions. Which leads us to refer to my previous point it’s good until it’s bad, you should examine everything before you eat it. Did you know Broccoli can be molded inside and you might not know until you eat it? A lot of foods are this way and there is not a certain time and date something will go bad, it is totally dependable on variants. If you would like a better answer it is, “ do not consume any food past it’s expiration and contact the manufacturer to obtain expiration when no date is list, be sure to keep the packaging so that they can retrieve the date code”. Two answers in the sake of diversity.
It'll likely come out flat. Bake it and see how flat.

Sure you can. Just follow the instructions carefully ie if one mix calls for 1 cup of oil, use 2 cups for a double batch. But DO NOT double the cooking time. It will take longer to cook a double cake than a single but probably only around 10 - 15 minutes more. So keep a careful eye on your cake.
