That "front yard adjustment" is called the "Parallax adjustment ring". You can fine tune the sharpness of the image by turning the ring slightly in either direction once you have made the initial setting. Most distance indicators are off slightly from the actual best setting.

I went to another website and read the reviews of other owners of Bushnell products, this is a common problem from Bushnell products. The fix is to buy another or try to get them to replace it, they should recall everyone of them and give refunds or new rangefinders. I found all this out for free, thank you very much!!!

Bushnell has discontinued service on the yp500, yp400,yp800,yp800.yp1000. Basically all the units that look like this one. They will offer you a new unit at wholesale price.

Sounds like the unit needs an alignment. If the crosshairs appear in the display and stay on....it needs a CPU board and reprogramming.

Hmm your Bushnell has one year warranty send it back to company under warranty for repair.
