SOURCE: washer will not drain, seems to be plugged

Try using a wet/dry shop vac and see if you can pull water through the drain hose in the back. If you can, duct tape the vacuum nozzle to the drain hose to make a good seal. With the vacuum on, watch the drain hose under the tub. If it collapses, you have a clog somewhere. It may be easier to remove the hoses from the pump, first to see if there is anything stuck in the impeller. It doesn't take much to restrict water flow. If you need to remove the hose from the bottom of the tub, try to get as much water out using the method I mentioned. It may be slow, but as long as it can pull water, try to drain. This will save you from a big mess later. If there is a clog in the hose, all that water will gush out with the hose disconnected. You may want to have a few towels handy. Now...in some models there is a plastic ball valve in the drain hose connected under the tub. This needs to stay there, but may also be jammed with crud. Sand and dirt is notorious for clogging at this point in the drain system. This hose should come off with a simple clamp tightened with a screw. If you go through all the effort and find the lines clear, you may have a failed drain pump.

SOURCE: frigidaire frontend washer LTF2140ES3 will drain not spin

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle to advance to the spin cycle. When the machine works except advancing to the spin cycle, it signifies that this auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to fix the washer.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the wires from its terminals then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.

Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer LF error code during wash cycle - fills but stops mid-cycle without draining.

LF indicates a Long Fill; the washer didn't start the agitation part of the wash cycle. It either took too long to reach the needed water level or the water level pressure switch didn't send the signal to the control. Sometimes, the control board can't receive the signal. Since you are getting water into the washer, check how fast the water is coming in. The system is expecting to fill in about 8 minutes. Since the water level is determined by a difference between air and water using a hose to the pressure switch, check that the pressure switch hose isn't pinched or damages. Also make sure that there isn't a clog in the hose. You may need to replace the pressure switch assembly. Check the wires to the pressure switch and at the control board for damage or corrosion on the connections. If the wiring is good, the control board may need to be replaced if replacing the water level pressure switch doesn't solve the problem.

I hope this helps. If you need a parts list, please add a comment with the model number of the washer. (It's usually on the frame of the washer under the lid and on the back of the machine.) Since the washer is 15 years old, you may need to consider replacing it, if the control board is faulty.

Drain is plugged on Frigidaire washer ATF6700FS2

vacuum at full power from both sides, this should pull the rags further apart, making it easier for the water to flush them.

in these cases we use a secound hand drain hose from an old washer using a rubber extender (purchase from washer repair / parts supply store) that goes over the ends of both hoses therefore extending the hose

I have a frigidaire model fwl22sa it startted leaking and now it stopped spinning

Same problem here with same make/model. I am not an expert "washing-machine-guru", but I do have a fair level of technical knowledge. Well, when I inspected my washer looking for the problem I found that the rubber hose used to move water from the drum to the extraction water pump is broken. The water escaping the hose is spilling over the electric motor, motor belt, drum brake and water extraction pump. I removed the hose and inspected it looking for the reason it broke. All I can say is that I think that the material (rubber) used is not top quality. Apparently the cause of the failure is age. Maybe the chemicals running thru it may have debilitate the hose to the point of failure. The drum brake is not operating normal, retaining the drum from spinning when it should be. Also the motor belt have stretched a little bit, maybe because of the water spill. If your Frigidaire FWL22SA is leaking water when the drum is being filled you better refrain from using and inspect the hose. I buy the hose (original spare/repair part) for only $3.99 and installed myself. That is far cheaper vs buying a new washer. Good luck.
