How to confirm timer settings major mtd8

Din rail timers and manuals appear on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Din-rail-timers-and-manuals.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/MTD8-timer-Manual.pdf

The manual is not specific how to confirm the program settings ... other than maybe connecting the load and seeing if it turns on-off as programmed.
Don't forget to reset timer before programming.

Mod 57880 am setting ok pm setting wont come on ?

Is this new timer?
Or timer that worked before and stopped working?

Check outlet with circuit analyzer for correct polarity and grounding.
Reset timer and re-program, being careful to avoid conflicts and/or overlaps. Each ON time must also have OFF time with consistent days for each. If selected time is 12:00, then use 11:59 instead to avoid possible problems with am and pm conflict.
product comes with 1 year limited warranty.

Orbit digital 57880 sprinkler timer manual is 19 pages long, which is good argument for using analog timers with 1 page manual.
Troubleshoot appears on page 18 of manual, and includes Tech service number.

I bought a Major Tech Mtd9 programmable timer but there are no instructions included, only features. I have no idea how to set the date and the timer. Say I want the light to switch on at 6PM and switch...

First press reset (use pen or paperclip). Press MOVE button until you get OFF at right bottom of screen, then press SELECT to select mode (to set time and date, to select on/off for the 2 timers or to select rundown timer. Use OK to move to different setting, eg. hour, minute, year, month day etc. Use SELECT to change up one digit at a time. Play around with buttons to change settings, for example to have timer on on a specific day of the week or everyday etc. When it is set, use move to change from OFF to AUTO, timer will then switch on and off at set times. Hope it helps

I lost my book for my camera and i wanted to know how to set the timer on it

Some cameras have a dial for shooting modes so look for a three quater circle with a timer arm or just go to the menu settings you should see it there. If no luck with either, the easiest way to get the book is visit the manufacture web site. Most major brands have a support tab where you can get the manual. On another small note, when asking questions being specific on the brand/model of a product will generate more responses.
