Its not worth it to replace the door on that microwave, total cost of the door looks like 198.00 , maybe you could call GE parts and see if they have any in stock, WB56X10758 - However I highly doubt it is worth it. You are better off going to the website www.geappliances.com and finding a similar countertop microwave and just replace it with a new one. Perhaps if you call GE parts you could haggle them down on the cost of the door, however the labor of replacing it in that microwave isn't really worth it.

Remove the grill, should be screws on the top of the unit. There should be one screw behind the grill at the top of the control panel. Remove it and pop the control panel up to remove it. Make sure the mw is unplugged first. Then you can remove the board.

On most microwavre ovens all you have to do is open the door all the way and lift straight up at the hinges. The door comes right off the hinge pins. In some cases you may have to remove the top louver panel (right above the door). You should NOT have to unmount the oven to complete this. In fact...I would not recommend it.
Is this a simple matter of replacing a door handle? If you need to only replace the door handle, you just lift slightly on the INNER door plastic around the glass and you will be able to access the door handle screws. There are a series of small grooves in the panel that you can use a small screwdriver to gently pry. You should not have to remove the entire panel. Just open it enough directly behind the door handle. Be careful when prying on the plastic. It can break if you're not careful. I hope this helps you.

You can locate it by looking inside the cavity for an area that is perforated.
If this area is not a panel that can be removed, replacing it may (often) require removing a few sheet metal screws along the rear edge of the unit; rarely is the housing held on with more than that.
With the screws removed, lift up on the rear edge and pull toward the back.
DO NOT LEAVE IT PLUGGED IN!
Also, because there are components that may keep a charge (capacitors) for hours, I would recommend letting it sit unplugged overnight before removing the housing.
The bulb may be either a cylindrical type such as many sewing machines use or a smaller version of a standard bulb.
Neither of which anyone ever has at home, of course.
Any of the large 'home improvement' stores should have these 'made in China' bulbs at an inflated price.
SOURCE: Condensation marks on microwave door
For most microwaves the process is pretty straightforward. You can open the door and you will see the screws that hold the outerinside panel on to the glass. After you remove those screws you will see the screws that hold the ouside cover to the door in place. Once you get that far you will see what is holding the glass in place. Keep in mind to replace the gaskets around the glass right and anything you take off to get to the glass itself. If you are getting condensation from range top cooking then the seal around the glass may need to be replaced. You really cannot hurt anything by taking it apart, but it needs to be put back together exactly the way you take it apart. Good luck and hope this helped.
SOURCE: scratches on microwave door
We have an over the range GE microwave and my wife was cooking some pasta on the stove and used the vent fan on the microwave to dissipate the steam and when we were done eating she noticed that the steam from the pasta had gotten in between the glass on the microwave door, how can we get rid of this any ideas.
