A Yellow Poplar, also known as a Tulip Tree (Liriodendron Tulipifera) can easily get to 120+ feet in height. I have one in my back yard that is about 40 years old and roughly 100 feet tall. One I started from a seedling around 1992 is now about 60 feet tall. Not really sure why that was posted under "Problem with Saddlemen Track Seat Kawasaki Ninja 250R 2008-2012 Standard Height".

That sucks about your tv. Mine just turned 3 years old. Never had a problem with it. But you seriously can't expect wal-mart to take back and exchange a 3 year old tv. Come on. If I am not mistaken, your dishwasher comes equipped with a water softener unit.
At some stage the regeneration cycle for the water softerner takes place. I am assuming the sound you hear is the solenoids of the regeneration system working.

Check the units drain filter. If clogged up it will make this unit run constantly

If the battery is more than one year old, or has been often used with the power supply plugged in, it might have degraded.

Sometimes you can regenerate it to some lesser extent by completely draining it and recharging overnight (but that's apparently what you already did).

So I'm afraid you will have to replace it.

You should not have to adjust the brine setting. Just the days per week. The salt dosage is dependent on the capacity. If you cut back on the days used you will still need to use the same amount of sodium to regenerate the softener.

The problem you describe sounds like an airflow problem. Make sure the vent is clear and if you have a plastic vent hose make sure it is not kinked.
If the vent is blowing freely then it may be a thermostat cutting out to quickly.
