Every printer has a border when it can't print on. Mostly this is about 5mm on all sides of the paper.
Take this in consideration when you print something.

Some products behave unpredictably when using off-brand toner cartridges or refilled/remanufactured ones. You may want to try using a fresh Samsung catridge too.
The only rest I'm seeing in the owner's manual is to unplug your printer at the wall. Most devices need just about a minute of time uplugged to reset. I normally would also press the power button while it's unplugged too.
