I have a 5936 Defiant security light and it works but when it comes on it flashes all the time. I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps and it still flashes. There was no changes in the environment around the light to cause this. Can you please help me?

'3 way Defiant lighting' seems to refer to a timer. Many electronic timers can't run LED lighting because the LED have driver circuit modules. Try replace the LED with an incandescent bulb to test.

How to repair a Defiant Motion Security Light.

try this
turn on the light at night
if it doesn't turn off after say 5 minutes (you should be able to set the stay on time)
switch off and back on
for most security light operations that action places it in the watch mode
the light will come on immediately but will go off after the set time period
from then on any intruder movement should set it on fort the set period of time

I have a 180 degree Defiant Outdoor Motion Security Light. It was working fine for 2 weeks, but now it stays on all the time. I've tried toggling it to Test and then back to 1 Minute and no change.

I am having the same problem. The manual says to avoid plugging into the same circuit as motors & fluorescent lights. Mine is on the same circuit as a freezer. I'm going to try changing the AC outlet to see if that helps. Good luck!

Why did my motion light stop working and the sensor light is blinking red?

I just purchased 2 of these and loved them as they worked for like a week and now both are not working however they are getting power as the red light comes on when there is motion...Please help if you know as I paid 110.00 each for these and I am confused how the bulbs could be blown?

In my experience trouble are with power for LED's. Something wrong with power supply DC.

One more thing- 'powerful' LED's have 10, 20, and so on LED's inside, when some LED's broken down, then DC power supply begins wrong job.

SOURCE: I changed the ignition on my 2004 Monte Carlo now the security light flashes 3 times and won't stay started please help

The PASSLOCK system is not recognizing the key. You may have to go to the dealer for reprogramming. You can try this procedure to see if it will relearn.Make sure the battery has a good charge in it before trying this.
1. Turn key to the on position ( don't try to start )
2. Leave key in on position for 15 minutes
3. Turn key off and wait 10 seconds
4. Repeat this procedure 1 more time and try to start the vehicle
