I have a 6230 that had a cracked lcd. I purchased a parts camera on ebay for only a few bucks and the screen was easy enough to swap out.

I know this is a late response but I recently ran into the same problem and I bought a replacement display off of ebay. I purchased the display through D&H Cameras. It was around $55.00.

Hey mkafirebird, I don't have a good answer for you other than perhaps a ribbon cable could've come loose? Polaroid is definitely not helping with this camera since they've discontinued this model(more like disowned it). My lcd was cracked, and I wanted to replace it, but there aren't any replacement parts out there according to Polaroid...

When you break a screen like this, it's better to replace than to repair as prices drop and technology progressively gets better over time.

Yes,you can usually take the camera into any radioshack or bestbuy,or or store that sells electronics for that matter,and have the screen replaced for a small fee.It should be working as good as new afterwards.Hope it helped

I have the same problem and i never droped the camera! it was working just fine and i had just showed someone a video on the camera then i shut it off and when i turned it on again the screen was broken.. I tried calling polaroid since the camera is still under warrenty but they dont cover the screen..
