SOURCE: no power red ligth blinking 6 times

The problem is the thermal fuse. You need to have service bulletin to fix it. I have seen other people have the same issue and it was fixed by getting the SB at agoraquest. It's a step by step guide on replacing the thermal fuse. The member that has the service bulletins is Jehill. He has helped several people with this issue

It takes about 2 hours but saves over $400 in service repair bills.

Here are some of the people that were helped by this

J/K :-p ......worked like a charm :-) Took me about 2 hours and almost half of that was to go and get a 20" #2 philips screwdriver. A 12" would have worked, but they did not have it. Other than than that, no problems. I paid $220 for the TV, $28 for (2) Thermal Fuses, and $11 for a screwdriver. Now I have a decent 2nd TV :-) Not as good as my KD-34XBR960, but not much is :

SOURCE: Blue light and lamp light flashing, no picture.

Look in the owners manual for the directions on how to remove the lamp. Your model the lamp goes in from the front on the left looking at the TV. There is a thumb screw in the back on the corner holding the left front speaker on. Under the panel there is another thumb screw holding the lamp door on. You will need a Phillips screw driver to remove the lamp. You will most likely find that the lamp is bad. You will either have to order a lamp directly from JVC, a service center or a parts distributor.

SOURCE: No picture or sound, just blinking power light

Hi...I am sorry to say that I had this exact problem. It ended up being the upper and lower panel drives. I contacted Hitachi and even though my unit was out of warranty, they agree to pay for parts. I paid for labor myself, and it cost me $199.95.

Good luck with it...let me know how it turns out for you.

SOURCE: flashing red light

I think this sounds like my problem (need to replace the projector lamp). However, when I hit the "on" button, my SXRD 50" blinks green for about a minute then starts blinking red. Can you confirm the bulb solution? I was very pleased with this sight when my fan malfunctioned. I got the fan in a matter of day's from Sony and it fixed that problem.

SOURCE: My Emerson 42 inch LCD

No display on all modes? If it is, you have a lemon set, I would take it back and buy a better brand instead. Emerson is a cheaply made TV. I myself prefer PANASONIC.

Samsung HDTV no picture no sound

These blinks (flashes) are fault indication. By the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. Count the blinks occur at one time switch ON, carefully. Do it once again, and make sure about the number of blinks. If the flashes are continious, non-stop, the main system control IC should be suspected. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. It has blinking codes detail to many brand TVs. Samsung lns4041dx/xaa tv takes a long time to turn on the red LED light blinks 3 times then disappears - then LED light comes on again repeats the process for about 7 - 10 minutes then the TV turns on. ...

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.
