First check if the batteries are all good. If all batteries are good, check the carbon brushes if they still able to make contact to the armature of the motor. If the carbon brushes cannot make contact or all worn-out, replace the carbon brushes. If if it still does not work clean the armature of the motor by using emery paper. If still it doesn't work check your armature bearings and armature. Replace the defective parts.

My dirt devil ultra vision won't pick up anything and the brush does not turn, also smells like rubber is burning. What should I do? I checked to see if it was clogged and the belt is not broken.

Sounds to me like the belt has gone or at least stretched so it is slipping on the spindle, take the brush out and check for hair or anything wound round where the belt grips...don't know this particular vac but usually belts are not too difficult to change. Get a new belt from your hardware shop

Have a bissell easy vac 3130-B and the brush on the bottom stopped turning i never looked before so i don really know if it turned in the first place

Behind the brush will be a metal thing that spins when the vacuum runs. That's what the belt loops over with the other end around the brush. You can sometimes find the belts a places like wal mart.

Central vac will not turn off

You have a defective internal relay on the vac. Check for warranty coverage as this is a common occurrence on these big box store units.
If beyond warranty the relay should be a straight forward unit, miniature circuit board type plug in device. Find a Broan Nutone service center or take to vac pro shop for parts.

Central vac will not turn off

Base d on your description... you have a defective internal relay, value $25-30US . It sits under the lid beside the motor and has generally 4-6 low and hi voltage leads plugged into it. Sometimes this component and the transformer is replaced by a new circuit board.Tag all wires with # position remove and take to a vacuum pro shop. Original relay may look different from the new one.

I need to know how to change my kirby into a blower?

Raise the light assessory on the front of the vac. Remove the roller assembly by rotating the square dial as indicated by the arrows. Then you must attach the accessory that sort of looks like a 4 inch square open box to the front of the vac where you removed the roller assembly and lock into place. Next you remove your bag assembly by unsnapping at the top of the handle to the vac, then at the base of the bag assembly you must unlock the plastic base from the metal vac unit by turning it counter clockwise and then pulling off. Finally you attach the hose assembly where you removed the bag assembly and lock into place by turning clockwise (reverse of taking off bag assembly base). Put vac in neutral and power on. Now you will blow from the hose assembly.

I have a Bagless Stick Shark, Model EP601, and production date - 28/02.
I have misplaced my manual and don't know how to attach the hose and attachments. HELP! Margaret [email protected]

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to get an owner’s manual is to contact the Shark factory of which I will supply the website address and cust serv phone # so you can either download a owner’s manual or they can mail you a owner’s manual from the factory. Please include the brand name and model # of your vacuum. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Wiring up central vac too breaker box.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
A central vac not knowing the brand name or model # uses regular household current and plugs into a regular household inlet and I have never heard of wiring the central vac to the breaker box. The central vac is usually out in the garage or down the basement and will be in the regular household current. You may want to ask the manufacturer or the vac dealer you purchased the central vac from and they might have more information for your and if your central vac needs to be wired to the breaker box they will give you instructions, but I don’t believe that you need to do so. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
