The drive belt has come off and jammed it’s between frame and pulley. Most of the time this happens it will have damaged the belt and will need replacing. Using a screwdriver open a few of the screws and look inside with a tourch torch.

SOURCE: pedals/resistance locked

Was this at a retail store you should exchage it.
If not then you will have to take the side off need to inspect all mechanical attached to the rails. It will be apparent to see the flywheel their eddy current transformer on top of unit or the flywheel itself is one package their should be are wire comming out of trace it back to the circuit unplug the connectors the resistance should be gone now test the mechanical function of unit to see if the pedal are free from any binding then reverse connectors and see if you can adjust the resistance if not the board is defective.

SOURCE: just put together the proform 500 le elliptical and can't pedal. It seems like its stuck.

Pretty simple solution if you hear some type of movement when you change resistance levels, if you don't, check cable connections or last thing motor.

Take the plastic cover where the drive is. (Screws in both sides)

Most likely a the cable that tensions the plate is lose, so check if the cable is in the guide coming out the motor. Move the plate that touches the disk (spring holds it together) and see if it spins.

If you have any other questions let me know through here.

How do I disassemble a sole e25 elliptical? - Sole Fitness E25 SOLE Elliptical

Sup, my elliptical-lovin' friend! Taking apart the Sole E25 Elliptical is actually pretty easy-peasy. Here's what you need to do:
1. Unplug the machine from the wall outlet and move it to an open area where you have enough space to work.
2. Remove the covers that are located on the base of the machine. These covers are held in place with screws that you'll need to unscrew using a standard Phillips head screwdriver.
3. After the base covers are removed, you'll see the ramps that hold the pedal arms. Use a wrench to remove the bolts that hold the ramps in place.
4. Next, remove the pedals by loosening the bolts that hold them onto the pedal arms. Once the bolts are removed, the pedals should slide right off.
5. Finally, remove the console and the handlebars by loosening the bolts that hold them onto the upright post.
And that's it! You've successfully disassembled your Sole E25 Elliptical. When you're ready to put the machine back together, just reverse these steps. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
One last tip: make sure to keep all of the screws and bolts in a safe place so that you don't lose them. Trust me, you don't want to be stuck searching for a missing bolt when you're trying to put the machine back together. Happy disassembling!

Lifefitness elliptical. How do I fix a squeaky pedal?

There are several areas that could create squeaking in an elliptical,

  • Check the floor where your elliptical sits to verify the floor is level. An uneven floor could create strain on moving parts which would create squeaking

  • Spray an aerosol multipurpose lubricant onto any moving joints, especially metal on metal high friction areas like bolts and washers.

  • Apply grease around the rollers on the roller arms beneath the pedals. Operate your machine to spread the grease onto the roller ramps. Wipe away any excess grease.

Synthetic grease works best and will last you longer also.

I will be attaching a link to the grease we recommend, if any other questions come up please do not hesitate to call on our Tech Support Team at 888-713-2280 or visit us online at www.sportsmith.net

We folded the Proform 500 LE Elliptical and moved it. Now we are unable to unfold the elliptical with the latch button. Suggestions?

HOW TO FOLD AND UNFOLD THE ELLIPTICAL

When the elliptical is not in use, the frame can be folded out of the way. First, lift the latch under each pedal arm, and lift the pedal arms off the adjustment sleeves on the crank arms.

Next, raise the pedal arms until they touch the magnets on the upper body legs; the magnets will hold the pedal arms in place.

Then, hold the handle and lift the frame until it locks in a vertical position. To use the elliptical, first hold the handle, press the latch button, and lower the frame.

Next, pull the pedal arms off the magnets on the upper body legs.

Then, lift the latches under the pedal arms, and set the pedal arms on the adjustment sleeves on the crank arms.

Release the latches, and make sure that the pedal arms are securely connected to the adjustment sleeves.

Will be attaching a link to your manual also

In what way is an elliptical trainer different from a treadmill?

Treadmills have a moving belt while elliptical trainers have two foot pedals guiding movement - making it more controlled and safer. Elliptical trainers also have handles, in which the user has the option to move their arms in opposition to their legs to better control movement.

Knocking/bumping sound while pedaling Precor 576i elliptical. It is coming primarily from the right side/pedal on the downward strike. What could be causing this?

It could be the input drive bearings going out. I would suggest removing the back side covers of the unit and inspecting the drive assembly when its in use. Watch for deviations in the the circular motion of the crank arms. If it moves side to side or drops in the rotation its time to have the input replaced.

How to use the Proform 515S EKG Elliptical?

To mount the elliptical trainer, firmly hold the handlebars or the T-handle and carefully step onto the pedal that is in the lowest position. Next, step onto the other pedal. Push the pedals until they begin to move with a continuous motion. Note: The pedal disks can turn in either direction. It is recommended that you turn the pedal disks in the direction shown below; however, to give variety to your exercise, you may choose to turn the pedal disks in the opposite direction.
To dismount the elliptical trainer, allow the pedals to come to a complete stop. CAUTION: The elliptical trainer does not have a free wheel; the pedals will continue to move until the flywheel stops. When the pedals are stationary, step off the highest pedal first. Then, step off the lowest pedal.
As you exercise, you can adjust the resistance of the pedals with the resistance knob on the console. To increase the resistance, turn the knob clockwise; to decrease the resistance, turn the knob counterclockwise.
