SOURCE: rt sd of tv has lighter color vertically 6" wide from top to bottom

this seems to indicate a trouble with the z sustain board. the retention of the previous image is the indication of this. there can also be a problem with the x board or a buffer board

SOURCE: i have a samsung 52"

The whole screen or what is called the panel will need to be replaced. the panel comes with all the circuit boards less the power board and main board.

3 colored lines

Hi,
Is the 3 colored lines always in the same location? Top to Bottom or Side to Side?
The plasma panel is bad if it is from Top to bottom and the 3 colored lines are always in the same location.

The Z Sus, Y Sus and Y buffers are suspect is the lines are not always in one location and it is from side to side.

Repair cost is about half of your purchase price if the plasma is bad. I hope your unit is under warranty. Best Regards
