SOURCE: dishwasher not always draining

If the dishwasher drains through the vent pipe on your sink it may be clogged. I had that problem as well. Unscrew the vent cap and look for junk. In my case of all things it was dog hair!!

SOURCE: BOSCH DISHWASHER RUNNING TOO LONG PROBLEM

Bosch dishwashers are designed to heat the water to temp. However it has a 3 hr default if it doesn't reach temp. Start the cycle and see if after 1 hour if the water is hot or cold. If hot, then it is heating the water and the water coming in is just too cold. You may try running the water at the sink to get it hot there first before starting the dw. If the water is cold, then your unit isn't heating the water. At this point I pull the outer door panel, find the largest wires on the control unit and put my meter leads on them then start the machine. You will see 120 volts on your meter. Start the machine in light washes and with in 10 to 15 minutes you should see 0 voltage. Than means the relay has closed in the control and the hot line of the 120 volts is being sent to the heater. If this never happens, then you have a bad control. Bosch dishwashers have a 5 yr part warranty on the electronic control. Now If you get the 0 volts, I will put my amp meter on one of the same wires and check for 9 to 11amps. If that isn't there, then you have a bad heater assy. Hope this helps

SOURCE: error messages EFO and E10

It is simple. The wrong soap or too much soap will caused EFO to flash. I overfilled the machine with soap by accident. It started flashing with EFO and I went nuts. What could be wrong with it now?! Too much soap or not the right kind of soap will cause this problem.
Plus, I found a sheet of paper that gives the codes.

This is better than when the strainer plug gets filled up and you have to take the machine apart to clean the little strainer.

Why is my Bosch dishwasher beeping and not starting?
Bosch dishwashers are designed to beep when there is an error. A beep means that your drain is not clogged, and the rest of the parts are functioning as they should. Beeping in the middle of the cycle points to the problem with the control board itself. Find the circuit breaker and turn it off for 60 seconds.

Kitchenaid KDPM604KPS dishwasher stops minutes into cycle

I couldn’t find any error code 2H but I did find an error code H2O. This code means insufficient water pressure. If the display reads 2H, it usually means the start delay function is turned on. The dishwasher will turn on in 2 hours if door is closed. This dishwasher is advanced. To understand all operations you should read the user guide or manual.

Hello Craig,
You can use Affersh dishwasher cleaner (link here) http://www.affresh.com/our_products/affresh_dishwasher_disposal_cleaner and to achive "Super hot" wash you can reset your hot water heater to a super high setting and the run a few cycles of the dishwasher....once done be sure to reset the hot water heater to the usual setting...also a very effective cleaner in the dishwasher is white vinegar ,try that along with setting the water heater higher

Good luck,

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I`m not sure since you didn`t mention it or perhaps I just interpreted it this way, but is it consistent at the same time or approximately or is it very erratic it cuts out ?

You may actually have a broken wire inside the door panel, I`ve seen this happen many times.

Check in this location shown below, take the wires right out of the plastic cover and inspect them thoroughly....

695ea38.jpg

Next to doing that I`d suggest if you have an ammeter in your possession here`s what I`d do.

Place the meter on the black wire coming from the junction/electrical box to see if the unit continues to draw amps. even after stopping...this may indicate the motor is trying to operate (and it will react quickly if tripping on the motor overload so you`ll need to observe it closely), but seizing or overheating if indeed the amps. drop off completely. etc.

i.e.

The above image is actually checking current draw during the heating process on the gray wire w/black tracer, but I`m attaching just as an example of a clamp on meter in case one wasn`t sure what I was referring to.

If you want to email me at my windows live account I can send you a service manual for B/S/H/ built dishwashers that may assist you in diagnosis.

The address there is [email protected] I have to send it via a pdf attachment as it won`t allow me to here on FixYa.

I`ll watch for your reply.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)
