I have recently fitted a pioneer avh-x7800bt and I have a cd in the unit that does not eject when I press the button. It does play ok. There is no hole to stick a pin like on a CD-ROM drive.

Power it up and get a pin to stick in the little hole near the disc insert

Disc Eject Prohibit: This feature keeps the disc from ejecting even if the eject button is pushed. The disc eject prohibit feature is engaged/disengaged by pressing the CD and Eject buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds.

Turn it off so you see the "demo" screen or the blank "off" screen, then hold eject + volume (mute) button down for few seconds to turn the eject lock off.

SOURCE: Pioneer deh-p8600 Motorized face not functioning

You can assist the face in going all the way down, once it is in this position it will automatically eject the cd. When the face starts to come down simply help it/gently force it to go the entire way with your hand, mine has the same issue and this is what I do everytime and it seems to work fine.

Can't play dvd

most dvd players for cars have a wire that is connects to the parking brake so you can't watch while driving. You can ground this wire, and the dvd will work. that maybe the problem.

Ipod will not play video to my head unit AVH P5900DVD

ok for the first post with the ipod not showing video .. make sure that you have the correct cable running from behind the deck to the ipod .. (iPod Direct Control (CD-I200 Required) once you have that connected you need to go to the video settings of your ipod and turn on the video out .. by default its offf... also remember with movies on your ipod .. that has to be manually selected from the ipod itself .. you cant control the videos from the pioneer unit.. only the audio/music on your ipod can be selected from the pioneer unit..

Avh-p5700 pioneer

My first suggestion is to not purchase "used" electronics from eBay. I bought the same kind of unit from eBay... and mine is broken too. I got a cell phone, car stereo, and a remote.. they were all not working properly when I received them.

Did you try the restart button. It is a small, pin size button on the right-side of the unit near the 4-way select buttons. My player wouldn't eject a cd either, and when I pushed the restart button with a pin, the cd ejected and the unit was ok for playing cds... that's about it

Broken pioneer avh-p5700dvd!!

It's more likely to be a surface mounted fuse, this unit has a lot of protection but you need to strip the unit down and continuity test the fuses but be careful there is a large flexible printed circuit board which is easy to damage if you're not careful
