This could be several things. There is a contactor on the outside unit that closes and turns on the compressor. If this fails then no action takes place moving the fluid. There is a start and run capacitor that aids the compressor, if this goes bad then the compressor wont start. Loss of fluid will cause this issue also.

SOURCE: A miswire

The blower is smoking because you have it hooked up to the same wires you've hooked the electric coil to.  That coil runs on 240 volts.  Those wires are typically red and black.  The motor runs on 120.  One of the wires should be shifted to a neutral (white wire).  Assuming the motor is still alive...this will fix it.

SOURCE: 1999 Chev Suburban 1500 with front and rear ac -

the truck has two evaporator cores one for the front unit one for the rear unit also two expansion valves, one for the front one for the rear.

check the large a/c line going to the rear unit if the line is warm with the A/C compresser running replace the rear expansion valve.

if the line is cold then replace the rear units blend actuator motor. if the frount unit is cold then most likely the blend actuator is the problem, remove the cover from the rear unit and you will see the actuator mounted on the side of the air handler box.

the best way to indentifie the unit is to buy one so you know what your looking for.

let me know if there is any thing else you need.

SOURCE: Dometic duo therm does not cool or heat...

The vey first thing a homeowner or RV owner says when either an a/c or a frig or freezer does not get cold is, it must be low on freon. I am a certified HVAC Technician and have been working on A/C and Heating systems since 1996. In nearly 85% of my service calls, it was found that a simple "CAPACITOR" was defective, which prevented the COMPRESSOR from starting, which pumps FREON through the system. If you are not good at reading electrical diagrams and schematics; and if you are not comfortable in troubleshooting electrical components, then I would suggest you seek assistance from either an RV Dealer or a local HVAC Technician. I can usually tell if a COMPRESSOR is running by listening for the COMPRESSOR "humming"noise. If the compressor IS, in fact, running, then in most cases it is merely a matter of cleaning the EVAPORATOR and CONDENSER coils. Very seldom does freon "leak" out of a completely "SEALED" system, such as a refrigerator, freezer, window a/c unit, or RV a/c or heatpump unit. Good luck!!!

No air coming out of vents and blower motor workS with jumper wireD, 2010 xc 60

a Volvo (must we guess"?) 2010 xc 60???? no air jumper-ed too?
if yes controls bad.
but with all blend door motors dead, air will flow.
there is no blower blocking door/damper ( but Filter)?
no air flows? means what?
hot air?
cold air?
either?
or no ambient air flows. or all.above.?

most cars have at least 3 dampers
MODE (direction)
hot cold, manual control.
recir'/fresh.

case in point, if hot core and AC core are dead
and blower spins you still get ambient cab air flow or fresh.
cab filter clogged up.
I need more facts to know what tests to do.

Goodman gph1348m41ac unit is blowing cool air in heat mode with mid 30s ambient outdoor temp. I turn it off then on and will usually blow warm air but this cycle is becoming more repetitive. any expert...

A heat pump on the optimal heating day (about 50 degrees ambient) will only deliver approximately 85 degree air as compared to 125 degree air from a fossil fueled furnace. The colder the outdoor air is the less heat there is available to be transferred to the living space. At 30 degrees, the heat transfer capability is getting close to negligible meaning the run cycles will be approaching continuous and eventually as the heat pump along cannot maintain setpoint, the outdoor stat or stats will bring on auxilliary heat in the air handler.

If your ambient temp is below the 'balance point' of the heat pump, the house temp will drop a little lower and most times energize the heat strips through the outdoor t-stat. Your outdoor stat could be set too low for the heat pump to carry the structure all the way down to the balance point so when you turn it off and back on, the lower indoor temp automatically brings on the heat pump plus a heat strip or two, thus the warmer air. Second stage on the stat satisfies due to the heat strip, drops them out of the circuit and the heat pump is left running on first stage heat delivering the perceived cold air.

Your outdoor stat could also be not functioning correctly and not allowing the heaters to come on until the system is turned back on reestablishing the two stage call for heat.

Tons of possibilities and not enough room to list....

WEATHER KING GAS FURNACE . BLOWER MOTOR COMES ON INSTANTLY ON CALL FOR HEAT AND WONT SPARK IGNITE.

You have a high temp safety open. The control board sends a signal through all safeties first. And if there is a safety open, the board believes the unit is overheating, so it engages the blower to cool it down. The safeties are normally on the blower assembly, near the burners, and near the heat exchanger. Hope this helps!

My heatpump keeps running, but only drops temperature 1-2 degrees. I have a variable speed blower but I don't think that it is ramping up all the way. Air can be felt about 12-18 inches from the registers...

You have a low refrigerant charge. Your low reading which coresponds to the temp at the coil 49psi is about 20 degrees fr. It should be closer to 70 psi depending on the ambient temp indoors. The coil has to be above freezing I usually shoot for 38 to 40. your sub cooling needs to be at least ten. And if you cant feel the heat leaving throuhg the condenser fan it aint moving it.
