Ok I fixed this problem. It has to do with Tension on the rod inside the back cover. Open the back cover and remove it. Then emove the black plastic piece by un hooking it on the left side and pull it down then toward you. You will see a rod attached to it that runs to the right. The right end of the rod has a lever that travels in a slot on the right side of the printer. There is a small spring on the rod. Here lies your problem. There has to be enough tension on this spring to activate a switch in the slot on the right side of the printer. Make sure the spring is installed properly. This is a low tension spring so nothing will come flying out when you remoe it and re install it properly. A piece of paper can dislodge this spring. When you get it apart you can quickly see how it should be put back in. E-mail me if you need further help [email protected]
SOURCE: Error message: "Door Open"
HI there,
Follow the steps below:
Step one: Close the print cartridge access door
1.Verify that the print cartridge access door is completely closed. It may appear to be closed, but if it is not completely closed, the error message will display. Verify that there are no obstructions blocking the door.
2.If you are unsure how to close the print cartridge access door on your model, consult your User Guide for more information.
Figure 1: Examples of closing the print cartridge access door (your model may vary)
If you have attempted to completely close the access door and the error still appears, there may be a problem with the door sensor and the unit may require service.
Step two: Service your product
If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.
Good Luck!!!

SOURCE: front door open message it won't print
There is a switch inside the front door that is not making contact when the door closes, making the printer think that the front door is open. The switch is recessed in the housing. Look for a plastic knob that protrudes from the front door that will mate with a hole in the frame. Inside this hole is the switch. Try activating the switch manually with a screwdriver to make sure the switch is functioning. If it is, you will need to take off the cover and reposition the switch forward. If it does not activate manually, the switch must be replaced.

I had same problem. If you go to rear of printer and open the back door you'll see it is attached to a blue connector. Unattached it so that the door opens fully and then unflap the inside roller assembly. Next open the fuser door and you'll notice a little spring loaded assembly on the inside of the opened fuser door. This is where my problem was. Make sure that the assembly springs back when pushed because part communicates with a sensor on the motherboard. If it doesn't spring back then the printer thinks there is a jam. Mine was stuck but after pushing it a few times it started to work freely again. This was a frustrating problem but that fixed my issue and hopefully it will fix yours.
