Also on the SD card, see if there is a small plastic tab that can slide on the side. Try to slide it up or down and then try to put it into your camera.
There may be a small lock icon that means the card is protected and can't be read or written to. Sliding the tab away from the lock may allow it to show up on the camera.
Make sure it is not larger capacity than camera expects / or can handle. You may have to format the card in another device first to get camera to recognize it.

You might have too much data on the SD card. Try with less pics onto the card.
