I have a Rockford fosgate p300-4. Only 3 channels work. Already checked wiring for shortages so that's not the problem. Already took the amp apart and everything looks good. Need to bench test but not sure where to start. All help is greatly appreciated.

You may have a blown speaker. I would check for that.

If the speaker is a 4 ohm DVC (two 4 ohm coils), you can't wire it to get a single 4 ohm load. Try connecting one coil to each of the two rear channels. It may not be as loud but the amp should operate without going into protection.

If the two 4 ohm coils are in parallel, the amp is driving a 2 ohm mono load. That's probably why it's shutting down.

SOURCE: Rockford Punch HE2 wiring question.

if your sub will handle it, bridging it will give you more power. The best thing to do is to find out how much power the amp puts out ( RMS ) and if it is in your power handling range bridge it. It sounds better and gives you a harder punch because of more power.

SOURCE: 401s Rockford Fosgate Amp. Not powering on,just protect lite is on.

the problem is mostly with your audio side of the amp. i have a 800 Rockford punch series amp hooked in series running at about 15 vdc at 2 ohms stable for now. but the amps left front power side transistors overloaded and smoked out, i will be replaceing my mosfets soon. Now on that side your issues apear to be related to the signal side of the amp. when you hooked the amp up tell me breifly did you hook the rca inputs to the back of the sterio and did you select the proper rca inputs for the amp? also note that amps have a potentiomater that can be tuned up or down to allow the volume or wattage to go up or down threw the system. if it's turned all the way down you'll here nothing. but often you'll get a pop sound or quickly see the speaker move a bit. this indicated the signal side of the amp has signal comming in but no output, just look for a turnable small screw inside the amp top or side. and turn up acordingly. note: to much output will damadge your system. not just the amp. ;)

Can I run 2 12 inch 2ohm fosgate and a 4 ohm 12 on a rockford fosgate 401s 1200 watt amp

Yes. Wire the two 2 Ohm speakers in series and connect them to one channel. Connect the 4 Ohm speaker into the other channel. This will give you a balanced 4 Ohm load on each channel.

My rockford fosgate T1 amp blew a fuse and now protection is on

Chances are that more than a fuse went. I would follow (internally) the path of the wires from the speaker you mentioned - inside the amp. This should bring you out to the main amp. I think you will find that whatever powers that channel is faulty.

Where is the power input cable on my x6 rockford fosgate amp

RF uses some pretty funky cases in order to hide the wiring.

usually a screw or 2 on the top will allow its removal and expose the wiring terminals

I have an sony xplod 4 channel 600 watt amp

First are they in the same box? If so and they are sharing the same air space running one amp to both is best andwill perform better. One woofer could be over powering the other and or you could have a woofer problem. A lso your wiring coul be problem. When amp is bridged it changes the OHM reading and output your other woofer may not be rated at or able to handle a lower Ohm rating also it coul blow that woofer if it hasn't already hapened . Be careful. check woofers independently for operation and check the non performing woofer on an unbridged power source or amp. Hope this helps. Write back if not.

Amp powers up. the right channel works fine left not at all

If you didn't find any burned parts that would mean one of the buffer amplifiers before the power amp could have died. They could either be transistor based or opamp based. They are fairly low power so they will not explode like the output transistors like to do. Contact rockford, they should be able to send you a schematic. Let me know I will try to help you through it.
