Take the handle back off and tighten the ring (or nut) that holds the ball and handle shaft in place, then reinstall the handle.

SOURCE: Moen shower/tub faucet

hi... yes that's a very common issue with moen "cartridges" -- it's very simple to fix..... grasp the handle and give it a gentle tug upwards when the water is on... if it retracts again, pull the handle out again and tug again but this time a bit harder. Not sure what causes this on new cartridges but it will fix your issue.

SOURCE: I have a loose handle on my Moen two hanlde

Take handle off and check out the inside to make sure it not striped out and on the top of the handle it may have a plastic cap to pop of to access the screw holding in in place you amy have to use a knive to get it off .

If you can't see a set screw it may have a screw in handle on top.

Is my Moen one handle shower handle operating correctly after I replaced it with a new 1225 Moen cartridge?

Question moved from Vacuums.

If the pictures here are correct, there are 'variations' to the 1225 cartridge. No, it doesn't sound as though yours if fitted correctly. There is normally a stop on both sides of hot and cold to stop it spinning 360'.

Philips screw that holds parts to 1225 cartridge just turns, stripped? how do I get that out

you can try to tap handle loose and pull up on it to remove crew. Personally I would change faucet and supply lines, and not not look back.

Moen cartridge is 90 degrees off

Cartridge has been installed upside down. Remove, spin 180 degrees and re-install.

I need replacement part for bath sink cartridge 4570

The Moen 1225 or 1200 cartridges are the same except the 1200 is brass in stead of plastic. They will fit most Moen single handle faucets. If it is a two-handle faucet, the 1224 cartridge will fit most two-handle models unless it is a fancy widespread faucet more than about 15 years old. I don't know the model numbers for those cartridges. All of these cartridges require a removal tool if you can't get them out with a pair of pliers.

I have a moen 1 knob push-pull faucet for my tub/shower. When I push it in sometimes water continues to drip. It is probably 30 years old. Are their replacement parts for it?

The old MOEN single handle faucets like youve described usualy took a 1200 or 1225 cartridge. Both are available at most of your big home improvement stores. The answer to your question is yes MOEN parts are still avail. Hope this helps. If this advise is helpful, please give me a vote.

Replacing Moen O kitchen faucet O ring

if it is dripping from the spout then there is a cartridge that needs replaced...1225 for the single handle type and 1224 for the 2 handle type. Moen does not use O-rings in their valves. If it leaking around the base of the spout there is an oring kit that you will need and you will have to pull the spout off to access them. Most Moen faucets use a 117 kit for the spout but there are some different ones.

Moen fauset # 1225 Shower new cartridge and it still drips.

is it official moen 1225 ? generics can be of poor quality. turn off house water and remove cartridge. Small fingers? Put in valve and feel for debris or turn on whole house again for a few seconds to flush out valve. try another cartridge. Or try this first. take off handle and push in on stem. does drip stop. ? perhaps handle is not on right.
