I have a Kenmore HE2Plus front load washer that is making a noise and leaking water out the front door. It feels like the drum is possibly loose?? Just wondering about fixing or replacing?

Check the drain filter and the drain hose at the back.

Drain filter access is located in the fro lower section of the front size. You need to remove the trim at the base of the washer and to undo the cap, turning it counter clockwise. Disconnect power before starting and keep a container ready to collect the water.

bearings or coins stuck between drum and tub

check to see if you still have a warranty on the washer other than that check the inner door seal if worn or crimped try to fix or replace it

check the inner door seal it may be damaged that may be why it is leaking

We just had the same problem. After taking out the detergent tray, we saw the water was not draining into the drum. Feeling around the door seal in the upper corner (there is a small opening all the way around, between the door seal and drum seal, that you can fit your fingers into - please unplug your maching), my husband felt some fabric, and pulled out a mangled toddler pillowcase, which would have been in there for about two - three loads prior to finding the leak. Odds are you may have some medium size fabric piece in there, and is likely is the blockage. This is where the water seems to drain from the detergent compartmemt to the Drum.

2 possible issues with your washer.
1 or both the support shocks or springs have broken
the drum would look off center even when empty
or rear bearring has worn out.
this is a very common problem with the fridgidaire washer... (this kenmore is a frigidaire model)
problem is caused by very hard water (well water) or improper use of detergent. this machine uses a High efficency type detergent, marked by "HE" on the detergent container

I have a kenmore front load washer, model: 417 42042100
It makes loud noise and becomes louder during the spin cycle.
The drum is loose when I inspected through the front door.
My problem is how to open the cabinet and replace any broken parts.

The rubber seal fits over the lip around the door opening. Carefully seat the rubber seal all the way around the door opening first. Then, place the wire hoop in the crease where the rubber seal fits over the lip. Insert the hoop with the spring pointing at the bottom. Starting at the top and work your way around the door opening to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions. While holding the hoop in place, stretch the spring apart enough to allow the rest of the hoop to snap into the crease at the bottom of the door opening. You may need a second pair of hands to help you with this. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
