Wm2688HNM REPAIR, MACHINE WILL NOT STAY ON UNLESS I KEEP THE POWER ON BUTTON PRESSED, ONCE I RELEASE IT THE UNIT TURNS OFF. wHILE THE BUTTON IS PRESSED THE RED LIGHT IN THE MAIN pcb BOARD IS ON

Sounds like ur power on button may be shorted, u can check it with a multi meter, for continuity when pressing down it should show continuity. and none when released, To test it you can jumper the 2 wires together and see if it runs when plugged in? if not its ur push start button other wise I would think maybe the control board is bad

I have standing water in drum every morning.

Without further information, I can offer three possible issues:
1. The fill value is furred up and is not fully closing (diagnose this by turning off the water after use at the isolator valve - and if no water is getting into the drum overnight, then it is a filling problem and you needn't read on - as opposed to a draining problem in which case read on!)
2. If you have a long drain hose running along the back of kitchen units, perhaps it is running back into the machine
3. Have you installed anything else into the same drainage pipes - such as a waste disposal unit or another appliance - that may be pushing water down the drain so fast, that some returns into other connected appliances?
Good luck

Lg tromm washer

The DE or DOE (Door open error) error or fault code indicates that the door is not latching properly. Check the lid or door operation to be sure it's not binding and that the door alignment is correct. Also, check the door/lid hinges to be sure they're not binding. Finally, make sure the door catch is in place and not broken. You may need to replace the door hook/catch or the door lock assembly.

When i push the start button nothing comes on,if i unplug the machine and plu it back in the machine works fine for a while than stopes working

You need to offer more info for us to assist with possible fault.
When you say unplugging/re-plugging it allows it to work for a while, please explain - do you mean it works for a few minutes, it for a few hours or for a few washing cycles/days? Does it stop part way through a wash, or once started will it always finish a wash before failing again?

How to replace a belt on a washer

On some washers, mostly older models, a belt is used to transfer power from the motor to the transmission and pump. If that belt breaks, the washer will not operate properly but it will make sounds like it is doing something. If the belt slips or is loose, the washer may operate sporadically or erratically. It may make loud squealing noises and there may be a burning smell. Some models use two belts, one for the transmission and one for the pump.

To replace the drive belt, you will need to open the access panel or in some cases tip the washer onto its side to expose the belt on the bottom. Start by removing the back cover, and look for a belt. If you do not see a belt (or a place for a belt - the belt itself may have broken and is hidden from view) and you can see the floor then your washer is a direct drive model that does not use a belt. If you cannot see the floor because there is a steel floor in the washer, locate the motor and determine if it extends through the bottom plate. If so, then the belt is accessed from beneath the washer.

If you have to tip the washer over, place a large piece of cardboard on the floor to protect the floor and the washer's finish. Because a washer is pretty heavy, you will need an able-bodied assistant to safely tip the washer onto its side. Also, there will be some water remaining in the washer, so have sponges and towels ready to clean up any spill.

To remove the old belt unscrew the clamps securing the pump coupling ( a leathery or rubber flexible part that connects the motor to the water pump). Remove the pump coupling to slip the old belt out. Some models instead require you to loosen the motor mounting bolts and shift it inward to relieve tension on the belt. Remove the old belt.

Place the new belt over the transmission pulley first then place it over the motor pulley. If it is too tight, place the belt over the motor pulley's nearest edge and then slowly turn the motor pulley to pull the belt around and into the pulley. Replace the pump coupling or tighten the motor mounting bolts. The belt should deflect no more than one half inch when you press on the longest straight run.

Replace the cover and test the washer for proper operation.

MAYTAG TOP LOAD WASHER

you don't say which model you have. one version uses two belts accesible by just tipping the machine back. Another version you must remove the front panel, and drop the pump and you'll be able to replace the one belt.
