Restart Your Fire TV Device and Network Connections
Unplug the power adapter for three seconds, then plug it back in.
You can also restart your device with your remote. Press and hold the Select and Play/Pause buttons at the same for about five seconds, until your device restarts.
When you sign onto Amazon. Search for your model (generation) Firestick remote. They do show several replacement models. Consider the age of your unit and how it operates before buying. We enjoy our Firestick but recently replaced it due to speed and glitches. We bought the Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD for $75. and really like it. No glitching, fast and voice control. Hope this helps. Hold down the Select button for 5 seconds to put theremote into pair mode. Hold down the Select + Play buttons together for 5 seconds to Restart the device. Restart the device: Settings > System > Restart, then once restarted unplug the power cable for 5 seconds then plug back in. firestick remote won work Google Search
The TV remote has a button for that. Input Select or Source or SEL. However simply turning off anything except the firestick should make it work. I presume the firestick came with a remote. Simply turning it off and on from that should do it. Make sure you can see the firestick when you press the buttons.
1.Replace batteries.(in remote)
2.Get within 12 inches from firestick.
3.Press and hold home button for 10 seconds.
This should now pair with firestick, and should work.
