Several things. Somebody could have changed the remote code - perhaps accidentally - so it no longer recognises the remote.
The remote is faulty.
The remote sensor on the device is faulty, or is blocked so it's not getting the signals.

SOURCE: remote problems

Take the remote to your local Radio Shack and have it tested.. They used to carry IR cards and now have a pen-like tester that can tell if the remote is operating properly. Then, if you're sure the code is correct, you probably will have to have the IR detector in the Tv replaced...

My remote won't change from AUX to Tv and all of the buttons don't work on AUX except for the volume and mute, how do I get it back on tv? Thank you

Try to push the TV button that is lit red at top middle of remote for 5 seconds in stead of hitting input. In other words by holding the tv button down it might trigger it to respond better. Thanks Mike

Re-activating universal remote control cable, DVD, VCR

Hello Trublugrl,

This should help you out.

Here are the codes for Sanyo 017,021,039,056,057,058

Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH.

Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button you want to set up. If programming AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device to be programmed (TV, VCR or Cable). When the selected device button flashes proceed to the next step.

Enter the three digit code from the TV, VCR or Cable Box code listed above.

Release CODE SEARCH.

With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps using another code number from the list

I hope this Helps you out, If this does then Please leavea a thumbs up.

MODEL WS-65611 TV DOES NOT RESPOND TO REMOTE. HAVE REPLACED BATTERIES AND RESET THE TV. REMOTE LIGHT WORKS.

Is your remote one of the "universal" ones that allows you control multiple boxes?

If so, be sure you are selecting the correct input (TV, DVD, AUX, SAT...etc).

It's also possible that you will have to reprogram your TV to accept the remote's input. This can happen even if the TV and the Remote were sold together. Check your TV/remote manual for the syncing instructions and associated codes.

Sounds like the battery in the remote needs to be changed.
