SOURCE: Squeaking!!!!

Asko T701 dryer,
Squeaking loudly for the full dry cycle
Warrant wet out last year. We complained to the repair man that it was squeaking prior to the warrant running out, he said they just do that. It is now very loud and I know noise = friction, and I am concerned. I looked into it and sprayed some silicon on the belt, but it sounds like the front gasket is the problem.
Is this a common problem, and is there a common fix?

rear bearing is pressed into outer drum never changed bearing only usually requires entire drum replacement instead..also shaft on rear of inner basket is probably scored bad and needs replacement too

SOURCE: My model #gltr1670aso makes loud noises during spin cycle

Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig

SOURCE: Maytag neptune dryer has a very loud squeaking

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication. Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them. If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem. SOURCE: The washing machine started making a grinding

sounds like a bearing... although it could be the water pump... water pump is an easy fix... bearing is not an easy fix... take the belt off the bottom of the pump (under the machine) and see if it spins freely by turning it w/ your hand... or if it seems really stiff... if it looks good then it's def. your bearing...

Washer squeaks during agitation, both wash and rinse. also makes thumping sound for few seconds after spin cycle stops.

Hello Chris, thank you for your post!
I see that the washer on your Frigidaire laundry center is squealing during agitation. This noise could be coming from the motor or transmission and you may need to have the washer disassembled to locate which component may be causing the issue. For proper disassembly you may need to seek assistance from a professional technician. A technician will have the appropriate tools needed for complete disassembly of the washer without causing personal injury or harm to the laundry center. Hopefully this information is helpful towards your repair. -Matt

Based off the information you have provided you are hearing a squeaking noise during the wash rinse cycle on your Frigidaire washer. GE Gas Dryer DBSR453GB1WW began squeaking during the most recent drying cycle. We should we try to repair ourselves or get a repair tech?

The squeaking noise is most likely emitting from the drum bearing (key#543). In order to access and replace the drum bearing will require removing the drum. The drum bearing/sleeve is part# WE1M462. I added the instructions on how to remove the drum in the images below. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing the dryer.

Dryer is making a high pitch squeak, sounds like a rusty swing. possible bearings

You probably have dry bearings from all the heat over the years. Unplug the unit and remove the back to expose the bearing and shaft. Using a light oil such as 3-in-1 squirt oil into the bearing and let it soak in. Do this several times and keep a rag under the bearing to catch any excess oil. Odds are that with a little lubricant the dryer will quiet down and work fine for many more years. This would also be a good time to clean any lint and dust bunnies out of the unit. Reassemble and test. You should be good to go. Let me know if I can be of anymore help.
