Asko T701 dryer,
Squeaking loudly for the full dry cycle
Warrant wet out last year. We complained to the repair man that it was squeaking prior to the warrant running out, he said they just do that. It is now very loud and I know noise = friction, and I am concerned. I looked into it and sprayed some silicon on the belt, but it sounds like the front gasket is the problem.
Is this a common problem, and is there a common fix?

SOURCE: Bearing noise
rear bearing is pressed into outer drum never changed bearing only usually requires entire drum replacement instead..also shaft on rear of inner basket is probably scored bad and needs replacement too

Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication. Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them. If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem. I will include these two websites for parts and further help: http://www.partselect.com/ http://www.appliancepartspros.com/index.aspx Both also have chat assistance 24/7. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thank You

sounds like a bearing... although it could be the water pump... water pump is an easy fix... bearing is not an easy fix... take the belt off the bottom of the pump (under the machine) and see if it spins freely by turning it w/ your hand... or if it seems really stiff... if it looks good then it's def. your bearing...

Hello friend, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided you are hearing a squeaking noise during the wash rinse cycle on your Frigidaire washer. You could be hearing the noise from your motor during that operation, this is normal. Additionally, if you feel that this is noise an issue I would contact a professional to come out and diagnose your appliance properly. -Matt
