I have a Whirlpool WFG371LVB gas range/oven about 8 years old. Oven has never been great but has not worked most of the time since doing a thorough cleaning. Oven will start, warm up but then not maintain temperature. Always starts the first time but subsequent restarts typically fail after it is warmed up. Can hear the gas valve open, the igniter spark several times even after lighting the burner but then the gas is cut off. Occasionally the opposite happens and get a runaway condition having to turn it off when the temp climbs 500+ Fahrenheit. Everything online suggests cleaning the igniter with sandpaper. Did that and seemed to help for a day. Then replaced the igniter. Again seemed to help for a day. Any other suggestions other than the igniter?

You may have a bad spark/ignition module, it is located under the main top (on most models) and tells the burners too spark
