I'm having a problem with LIVE youtube when watching on I've used the player for several years with no problems. I'll be watching a LIVE video and after approx 15 minutes, the video will stop on it's own. I'll restart it & it restops again. Does anyone know how to fix the issue? It ONLY happens w/Youtube. -

SOURCE: Won't play anything on youtube.

I figured it out. (Or accidentally fixed it) First I reset the temp files

Main menu>System>Repair and Formating Tools> Clear temporary system files and cashe
This didn't erase any of my content... though I did lose my extra favorites links.

Then I happened to open the browser and check the settings there. I noticed that "flash content" was disabled. I fixed that, and it works. (As sad as it sounds, I don't think I needed to erase the temp files. But it works nonetheless.)

SOURCE: Periodic tv screen blackouts

The problem is your cable box. I know you said you replaced it, but I work on TV's everyday and, sorry to say this but cable box HDMI outputs have serious issues, like no or intermittent sound and video. I have seen customers exchange their cable boxes 5 and 6 times and still have the problem. Your best bet is to use the component outputs of your cable box, visually you will not see a picture difference between component and HDMI when using a cable box. Your other solution is to get satellite; I have NEVER seen an HDMI issue with a satellite box

SOURCE: Toshiba 32AV500U HDMI issues

The Toshiba 32AV500U cannot display 1080p. Hook up your PS3 to your computer monitor, provided that it can display 1080p, or some other TV that can, then change your Video Output settings under Settings> Display Settings and uncheck 1080p, which will allow the PS3 to display in 1080i. Once you do that, then hook up the Toshiba via HDMI and it will work with no problem.

I want to watch Amazon Prime andbI have Dish, can the firestick help me

Firesticks can be plugged into your TV via a HDMI slot. It works like Roku, it has streaming apps and it does allow you to watch Amazon Prime. It no longer has the YouTube app in case you watch that.

I need help on what I need to buy for my tv so I can watch Netflix . Not only on my kindle. Thanks

Well, if you only want Netflix, you could just get an HDMI cable to connect your laptop directly to your tv. Most modern flat screens are built now like computer monitors, and you'll have the best resolution. If you want other streaming services, try this article : https://www.cnet.com/news/chromecast-vs-apple-tv-vs-roku-3-which-media-streamer-should-you-buy/

The new Roku stick is highly recommended at $50 msrp, is fast, and works with your cell phone via an app. But, if you spend most of your time watching YouTube videos, I'd get a Chromecast.

I just Purchased a Roku 4 for streaming into my TV to stream via the internet. How should I connect the Roku device to the HDMI 1 or 2 on the back of my TV?

You usually connect it via HDMI cable, if you plug it into HDMI 1, that would be the channel you choose when changing the source on your television.

You didn't say which Roku you have, so I will assume you have a Roku 3 since it's the only one without RCA output jacks (the red, white, and yellow jacks you mention). You can return the Roku 3 and get a Roku 2. You can only attach the Roku to a switching box if 1) the Roku has the RCA outputs and your switch has A/V inputs. If you DO have the Roku 3, then you may be able to purchase a HDMI to RCA cable from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-RCA-VGA-Cable-1-8m/dp/B002ZUI68G
