to add to what MIKEY-MOORE wrote, OUR government was offering discount ($20 off a $40-$45) coupons on a digital converter box that you can use your original antenna ( I still use my original nineteen and 65 (1965) rabbit ears antenna) to receive the digital signals NOW being transmitted through the air. In order to receive the signals YOU MUST get the converter. GOTO any Radio Shack, Walmart, to acquire the converter box. You will need one for EVERY tv in your house. I have a HDTV (but not digital) and I had to buy 3 boxes.

SOURCE: Why can't I get reception on my TruTech tv model DW19TT even after plugging in a Phillips digital indoor tv antenna

If the antenna is working and you are not receiving a signal, then you could have a bad tuner, use a tuner from a VCR , connect the ant to the VCR and go from the VCR with Video cables and go to the Video input on the TV and put your TV in Video mode. That will work.

Why does my tv continually drop antenna tv channels. I have to rescan tv several times a day

Assuming that we talking about digital channel could be couple reasons. First- too small antenna or in wrong location. Usually at evening, night hours there is less interference from cars, running electrical equipment etc reception is better. Far away stations reception is also better at night. Trees, houses etc also affect reception. If you in USA you can use site: antennaweb.org to determine correct antenna and direction to receive channels in your location.

I have a Samsung tv, model # LN32A550P3FXZA. I've been trying to hook up an antenna but so far can't get good reception. Could the problem possibly by my tv tuner? Too old or bad?

Sounds like you're in the fringe area of the antenna. Depending on how far you are from the broadcast antenna, You may have to increase the length of the pole that antenna is on or get an antenna that has a greater range in miles. Digital signals are real picky about antenna aim. If you have a long cable between the antenna and the TV, you might try an inline amplifier.

I have a trutech pLV16320 LCD tv, do i need a converter box?

Hello
There is no details or user manuals in NET about your Trutech TV. If you have its owners manual with you now, go to its specification page, and see whether this TV have internal digital tuner or not. It will be speicied there. If there is internal digital tuner, you need not buy an external converter box. In not you have to. OK.

17 in. trutech tv unable to get channels except 2-13

For channel setup you will need to;
1) Connect the signal source to the back of the set.(Antenna or Cable)
2) Go into the TV Menu and select the same signal source you connected to the back.(Antenna or Cable)
3) Go to the auto program/scan menu and run it. This may take a few minutes.

Now the channels may be watched.

Connecting antenna -- No Signal

Hi Shelly_Eddie,

Here are a couple of things to try:

Is the TV set to antenna or cable? Use the menu settings

Be sure a wire end is not bent outside of connection, i.e. coaxial cable wires sometimes bend or hide back into the sleeve.

Reset the TV and do a channel scan, unplug and see what happens.

Let me know how you make out. Good luck.

Trutech dvd-r

Set it for antenna and use the single channel it sends to your TV, which is the only signal coming out of your cable box

Better fm reception

Is it just a single wire?

If so, purchase a cheap FM antena. It looks like a "T" when spread out (4' to 5'). That should help.

You can purchase an "amplified" antenna, but if your area reception is really bad (such as in a valley) the antenna would just amplify the noise as well. Look for web based radio in this case or if you have cable there are stations on it.
