Hi, As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
This sounds like you either have a bad fan motor or if you have ice built up on the inside back panel. It could be that the fan blades are hitting ice built up around it. If so, you will have a defrost problem that will need to be addressed to fix the unit. But to repair it so it will stop making the noise, you can defrost the ice (if present) with a hair blow dryer. This will keep the ice away for a few days. Good luck.
If there is a defrost problem, the heater (located around the coil) is most likely the problem.
This will be caused by your fan inside the freezer. (The fan turns off when you open the door). Either the fan motor is bad or there is ice built up and the blades are hitting it. Good luck
your gonna have to let thr fridge defrost buy shutting it down because it soundsm like you have either a build up of ice it the vents in the back of the frezzer unit also check to see if you can hear the fan working in the frezzer if not that would be you main problem
for a freezer would suggest a thermostat problem easily replaceable if you follow the removal of the old thermo.use temperature gauge to set to the required degree after instaling new thermo
Switch off fridge. Put a pedistal fan in front blowing into the cabinet and leave until all ice has defrosted. Locate the drain hole in the back of the freezer compartment, try to defrost ice which blockes up about the first inch or two of this pipe. If water does not run through you need to force it through with a turkey baster. This should sort your problem. ratemeplease
check tro make sure the holders ore on correctly, and or you dont have the drawers in wrong positon, some are slanted behind to accomidate slant of freezer section.
well if the frezzer needs a new compressor is still under the manufactures warranty for five years you can have it check out it might just be a timer or overload , thermostat if you are not handy with tools just call a tech to give a diagnosis
The drain is probably clogged. Use a pipe cleaner to clear and then use a turkey baster and force hot water through. Follow with a weak bleach solution. Drain is usually in the middle of the bottom. maybe towards the back. It is supposed to drain into a pan underneath the unit and then evaporate. Another solution could be a leaky door gasket. This overwhelms the defrost system and causes leaks.
