SOURCE: How do you drain the

Hi pplmelita,

If you don't have a petcock to turn the fuel off below the tank, I would disconnect the line at the filter and drain the gas out that way.
If you're wanting completely drain all old gas out, drain as above and then run until dry.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

SOURCE: how to separate the kohler engine from the

The shaft is tapered and will have a bolt in the center, loosen the bolt enough so you can tap on the end of the bolt. This should release the shaft, if not there should be 2 hole that you can thread a bolt into to push the connection apart.

SOURCE: How do I remove and

Which engine on your unit do you have?
Kohler
Robin
Onan
Subaru
Diesel

There are 11 different 225 models there shoule be 2 letters in front of your model number I need those letters.

The 907209 is a 23 Hp Kohler engine unit and the 907210 is a 22 Hp Robin(Onan) unit.
Parts list
http://www.millerwelds.com/om/t4434l_pt_mil.pdf

Looking at the slot in the side of the fuel tank it appears that the bottom pan has to be separated from the unit. That would involve unmounting anything with wires attached from the base and supporting them. Engine frame, transformer / reactor, side panels, end panels battery and lower brace. I don't see any other way. I would try working from the engine end.

In all seriousness
I would contact Millerweld here: http://www.millerwelds.com/service/contactus.html
Mention your on a very remote worksite, have the replacement part in hand and would like to know if there was a service manaul or any techical assistance available for the tank change.

Even with my 40 years of experience this would be a task I would have to study up close and personal to sort out exactly what the sequence would be to change the tank. It appears to be a very major evolution that could go very wrong very quickly resulting in some major damage if you are not careful.

Why does my miller bobcat welder generator not stay at an idle when swithed to low idle, insted it goes back and forth to high then to low idle?

The unit may need recalibrating the idle/run setting. Instructions found in manual at 8-6 (subaru engine) and 9-5 (kohler). Idle speed around 2200rpm. Simple screw adjustment. PDF manual here :- http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o4434l_mil.pdf

Miller gasoline tank leaking from meter

Depending on machine model and sn you need to order the fuel gauge repair kit from a distributor. It will have all of the parts needed and instructions on the removal and installation of the new part. This is a commom problem that we are seeing with the Bobcat and Trailblazers. I can drop ship the part from Miller to you if needed. Feel free to contact me at (803) 609-8518 William Scott.

Have a 225 bobcat welder wont stay running can add fuel to carberator but if i stop sparing fuel in unit stops??

The fuel pump is one of the probable faults, or the needle valve in carb is stuck in closed position.

If the fuel hose is removed at carb, it should squirt gas as the engine is cranked over. If not, look in tank to see if the screen on the barb threaded into the tank has not clogged up with debris. If it is clean, replace fuel pump.

If it squrits gas- open up the carb and check to make sure the float is able to pull the needle valve down as well as the float level setting. When the bowl is exposed, look for sediment as well.
