Hi Marc,
Unfortunately, access to the pump & filter is harder on the HEXW2 model than the Duets with the removable lower panel.
First you have to remove the lid panel (screws in top rear), then pull slightly rearward and up/out.
Next you'll have to remove the control panel, then remove the front drum boot from the front panel lip. A large diameter thin wire spring holds it in place, located just under the rubber lip edge. Begin the spring removal from a wire tab located toward the lower portion of the lip.
Then remove the door latch screws (IIRC), and the screws at the bottom edge and top of the front panel. The entire front panel must be removed to access the drain filter.
sometimes on the duet models I have worked on with similar pattern. the thermal shut off fuse is out and the only thing you will get is blinking but could also be a bad motor control board? u should try and run a diagnostic and it will give the some error readings to let u know what is wrong, if u put ur model number in a youtube seach u may be able to find out how to put ur washer into diagnostic mode
I just took apart my WFW94HEXW2 to clean the pump filter. Here's how: Take off the top panel by first removing the three screws attaching it to the back of the washer. Remove the detergent dispenser by pulling it out while pressing on the indicated tab. Take off the control panel by removing the four screws holding it. Two screws are Torx-20 where the detergent dispenser was. The other two are at the top of each corner and are 1/4 inch hex-head, as are all the others in this procedure. If you're careful you need not detach the wires from the control panel. Just take the wires our of the first two clips so you have enough slack to rest the control panel on top of the washer. Pop out the spring-loaded retaining wire that's holding the door bellows to the front panel. Remove all seven screws from the front panel, three at the top and four at the bottom. Again if you are careful you need not detach the wires to the front panel. Simply lift the panel off the retaining tabs and swing it out like a door with hinges on the right. Keep slack in the wires and securely prop up the front panel. You now have access to the water pump and filter. The filter unscrews so you can clean it and its holder. Reassembly is a matter of reversing the above steps.
remove the lower access panel (3 screws along the bottom of unit) behind htere you will see the pump and an access to clean the pump filter, probably filled with assorted debris. be aware when you unscrew there will be water behind it,
Take back panel off.
