I have a Miller Synco Wave 350 DX TIG/arc welder but my Remote 14 is not reading my pedal. I checked the pedal and its good. I turned welder off unplugged the pedal, turned welder back on.

Based on the information provided, it seems that there may be an issue with the Remote 14 connection on the Miller Synco Wave 350 DX TIG/arc welder. Here are some steps that can be taken to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check the Remote 14 connection: Make sure that the Remote 14 connector is securely plugged into the welder. If it is loose or not fully connected, this could cause issues with the pedal not being recognized.

2. Check the pedal connection: Ensure that the pedal is properly connected to the Remote 14 connector. If it is not plugged in all the way or if there is any damage to the cable, this could cause issues with the pedal not being recognized.

3. Check for error codes: The Miller Synco Wave 350 DX TIG/arc welder has a built-in diagnostic system that can display error codes if there is an issue with the machine. Check to see if any error codes are displayed and refer to the user manual for troubleshooting steps.

4. Contact Miller customer support: If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact Miller customer support for further assistance.

In summary, if your Remote 14 is not reading your pedal on your Miller Synco Wave 350 DX TIG/arc welder, you should check the connections, look for error codes, and contact customer support if necessary.

Miller welder 330a/bp it will not weld in D/C straight or reverse no ark but will work in A/C its like there is very low volts I was welding and then could not strike a ark

It's likely that your pedal is the problem. Pull the cover and check it electrically - these have been problematic in the past. You can further troubleshoot by selecting constant output and test the output.

Miller syncrowave 250 tigrunner with gas flow

Your problem is in one of two areas. The controller board inside the unit or a bad trigger on your gun.

Lost temp control on foot pedal & thumb control

If you have both a foot pedal and a thumb control and neither is working, the problem could be in the 14 pin remote connector on the welder. The pins inside the connector can get worn out and/or broken with regular changing of the remote.

You could also have a bad PC2 board, the front panel control comes after the interface to the remote control.

Hook up

I think I can help you do this, let's start with the general and you can ask questions if we don't cover everything you need.

The HF251D connects to the welding machine using 3 cables, you connect the Electrode terminal on the welding machine (the Lincoln) to the Electrode In terminal inside the HF251. Connect the Work terminal on the Lincoln to the Work In/Out inside the HF251, also connect the work (ground) clamp of your torch to this terminal. Be careful to select the correct size cables for the maximum current you intend to weld with.

The 3rd cable is the gray 14 pin round control cable that comes out the back of the HF251, it needs to be plugged into your Lincolns RMT14 socket. You'll also need to make sure that the Lincoln is set for remote control, this is usually a switch on the front panel. I'm pretty sure that the remote control cables have a standard pin layout, but we can check this by comparing the specs in both owners manuals.

After that you connect the torch and gas bottle to the HF251, start the Lincoln, and TIG weld until you're happy.

I've got a manual for the HF251 and can get a shop manual for it if we need it. What I'm not sure about is your Lincoln - what model is it exactly?

regards,
Carl
