First thing to check is that to compressor is running. If it is, you you have ice build up on the panel where your freezer coil is? If you do, your unit is not going into defrost, or it is going into defrost then your defrost heater has failed. Those are the 2 issues I would check first

Many reasons why it may be loosing temperature. Such as Defrost problem, fan not running, sealed system problem, compressor problem

First make sure you have a good 9v battery installed. If it is ok then the problem will probably be in the display board or the wiring connectors between the boards. CE is communication error. If your model has the electronic tempature control instead of mechanical thermostat the problem could be in there. My bet is a bad connection at display board.

SOURCE: Frigidaire upright--

2 months old should still be under warenty.

Check the freezer fan by opening the freezer door and pressing the door switch and listing for the freezer fan sound. If no sound then the fan motor could be bad.

Look at the back wall too see if you have frost build up. If you do then you have a defrost problem.

If thees are not your problem you could have a seal system problem. (( freon leak ))

Hello swanee3669 - Have you trying measuring the temperature inside the unit to confirmed that it matches the display? If so, I recommend contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the unit since it sounds like it could possibly have a bad sealed, thermostat or control board.

Is your compressor kicking on? If not then check the contactor-relay and the capacitor. If that isn't the problem then it is probably your compressor. Which is quite expensive to replace.
