Sidekick 3 my sidekick wont charge because somebody stuck the wrong charge in it and not it wont charge on a regular charger

If the phone still works you may be able to get by using an external battery charging cradle.

When looking at a cradle, make sure it says it has a spare battery charger. Some of the Sidekick Charging cradles don't

You Blew A Circut In the Charger Port Depending On the wattage of that wrong charger. Now HeresWhat you do. you Need to find out if you blew all the circuts in the phone or just the one for the charger port, Find Some One With A Sidekick Test the battery in your phone make sure its fully charged, If your Phone Comes on the rest of the circuts are fine, if it doesnt you need a new mother board. If It Does U Need To Have the Phone Repaired. Call Me 347.845.7151

Sounds like you unit is not charging. The Sidekick ID's are notorious forthat. If you have a friend that has a sidekick ID or Sidekick 3, see ifyou can try their battery to make sure you phone is working ok.

If so, your best option is to get an external charger that has a sparebattery slot That way you can charge the battery outside the phone!They run about 25-30 dollars on ebay. an extra battery is a good idea so you can have one charger at all times.

Phone wont charge
Stevey-

The sidekick ID charging port can go bad like the sidekick 3's. An easy workaround is to get an external cradle that has a spare battery charging slot.

The trick is that the sidekick 3 and sidekick ID batteries are the same so the sidekick ID battery can be charged by the external cradle. An extra battery is a good idea as well so you can have ine charging at all times.

The sidekick 3 has a known issue with the charging port going bad. The orange light will usually come on but it doesn't charge the battery.

you can try www.cellulardr.com or you can do a work around that will cost less.

Most people will buy a cradle charge that has a built in spare battery charging slot. This allows you to charge the battery seprate form the phone. ?It is about 25 dollars on ebay. Its also a good idea to get a spare battery so you can have one charging at all times.

if the light indicates but its not charging. one other thing you can do is a soft reset.take out your SIM card and batter for 30 seconds then replace the SIM card, and hold on to the R button and at the same time replace your battery, your phone should turn on and restart twice. but it will come on.

It seems your charger port is broken, it hapfens often on cellphones, wear and tear. Check to see if its under warranty, and it can be replaced. Check my profile if you need more help.
