I've just received a Voltaire forte II and can't open the lock. It is on combination 000. How do I open it?

There is no quick fix, it wouldn't be very secure if there was.

There are 999 possible combinations remaining and if you start at 001 you'd be extremely unlucky to need to go through all of them. Try 999 straight away though, sometimes the tumblers can appear to be set to 000 when they're actually at 999.

remove the spare tire and inspect for rust or holes to allow water to enter it ...or have a person sit inside the trunk area and use a hose starting low and going up slowly to trace the source of the leak

sometimes there is a small tool that comes with the lock and that tool is inserted into the lock and the code can be changed,, some locks when open can be changed by moving the shackle over to one side and pressing it down and while holding it down you put your new combo in and then release the shackle and that should do it ---- it all depends on what lock you have.

I can only assume that you are referring to a bike combination lock, or something along those lines. Get in touch with the manufacturer and they may send you combination change instructions. Otherwise, it's up to a locksmith that deals with combination locks.
