SOURCE: I have a Ski doo 583 RAVE motor theat backfires

It sounds like you have a reed problem they should be in a "cage" just behind the carbs on the cylinder and if they were missing a piece or if they were cracked it would cause the engine to backfire. If they are in good condition they should close against the cage and stop the back pressure coming through the carbs.

I have a Ski Doo Legend and I have a spark problem turns over I'm not getting any Spark rode it for 20 minutes parked it went out to start it five minutes later no spark why

thoroughly check the CDI unit. Almost always the cause of no spark. Be careful, not to run in too warm weather - above 40. I've had the CDI go out when running at that temperature.

Can plug wires be crossed?

I have the Same Sled and It runs pretty good. Love the fact that it can start with the push of a Button but to answer your question, the Wires are separated so that they should automatically go to the Right Cylinder and if I remember correctly, they SPARK identical so if they do fit (Mine Won't) it should start anyways. a DEAD BATTERY will not allow the sled to start, it is SDI (Semi-Direct Injection) and it requires power to Work....
