If anyone has this problem, it is because you have started to pay for the sale and then tried to add more items before finishing.
Press SUB TOTAL. The remaining amount will display. Type that amount in (without decimal e.g 2230 for $22.30) then press CASH to finish paying for the sale

If yes, try to reset it. (NOTE: This method will RESET all of ur programmed data!)

1. Off power
2. Take out the AA size backup battery
3. On Power
4. The machine should show "0000000000"
5. Fix the AA battery in
6. Program the Date & Time

Hello, I have casio TE-4000F cash register and the cash button program is not working. Please help on how to reprogram it. Thank you

You have probably changed the key feature accidentally while programming items.

Try turning key to program and press the 0 button, then cash, then subtotal.
Turn key back to reg and try it.

I have a TE-4000F Casio Cash Register, the display shows }LZ and I do not seem to be able to clear this, does anyone know how please?

Did you get it going?
Sounds like a faulty battery. It should be changed by a technician every five years or so

Casio 4000f giving me e004 error

The machine is in the middle of a full program clear. It may have a flat or faulty battery. It has probably lost all programming. Try a flag clear first (from your programming manual). Otherwise, have the battery replaced and re-program it.

I have a casio te 4000f and it will not let anyone ring in when sub total pressed it is counting down in 1p also saying buffer full??? help

Ok. See if you can get rid of the buffer full error for a start. try pressing clear (C) then press Subtotal. You should see an amount on the display. Now press the ERR CORR/ CANCEL button. This should stop the sale that you are stuck in.
Turn the key to Program mode. If it gives error as you turn the key, then you haven't finshed in REG, turn back to REG and try to end the sale first.
If you see P01 on the display, it has worked and then do this:
1 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL.
Now turn back to REG and try it.
If it still didn't work, let me know what happened, and I'll show you another method

We have bought a cafe and the second hand Casio TE 4000f electronic cash register but it appears to have frozen so we cant enter any date. The display says PGMX and the amount 0.00 is displayed. Even...

PGMX means the machine is trying to print a current program report. It may have been interrupted. Try this procedure to jump it back out:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL. Turn key back to REG mode (you may need to sign on if asked)

Hi I have a Casio TE-4500F, everything works but the cash crawer does not open. I have been led to believe this may be a fuse on the main board. Is this a job I can do myself or does it need an engineer? ...

The only time it will blow the fuse is if someone has shorted out the cash drawer wiring. Check the wiring to the drawer first, and insulate any bare wires. Then you can replace the fuse. It is a solder in type on the main pcboard. Sometimes the half watt resistor in series will be cooked as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
