is the fan working correctly, if it is not it could be a bad armature or field

The frguency on the fans can be changed to anothere by reseting thelittle switches located inside the remot and the reciever. Dave at [email protected]

SOURCE: The light on my hunter ceiling fan flashes on and

remove watt governor for lights. ( little black box). and wire lights direct. this is your problem.watt governors are used to reduce light output or energy. just remove it.

How to eliminate receiver/transmitter in hunter 28425

Open the box at the bottom of the ceiling fan, where the switch is. You should find the receiver inside there. You'll find one white wire connected to it, and two black wires also connected to it. Remove the white wire completely or cap it off with a wire nut. Connect the two black wires to each other with a wire nut. Reassemble the ceiling fan. If the problem was the receiver, then the problem is now gone because the receiver is gone.

I'm going to have to ask you the same question(s) that Hunter tech service will ask, if you called them.

1. Are you certain you have it wired correctly? Hunter's color coding & installation instructions are one of the worst in the business.

2. Is the wall switch ON? In addition, is the circuit breaker for the wall switch ON?

3-speed fan switch broke on Hunter model 28072, cat. 300 fan. Found replacement switch at Lowes, but wiring colors are completely different from manual. What color wires go into L, 1, 2, 3 positions...

My Hunter fan uses a Zing-Ear ZE-268S6 switch. This is NOT a standard switch! It connects L to 2 AND 3 for medium speed. It is best to order the exact switch if possible. Hunter wants to sell you the entire bottom assembly (probably expensive). I found the exact switch online at:

for $6.80 plus $4.95 shipping. I bought an extra which didn't increase the shipping - worked great. Hunter ZE-268S6 ceiling fan connection colors: L=black; 3=green; 1=grey; 2=brown. If you need a different switch on their page, just click the Edit menu, then Find, type your part number in the box, and click Next.

You mean only the light? and the fan is working? Have you checked the light bulb? If it's ok, then checked on the wall switch. If is also ok, then probably there's is something wrong with the wiring in the fan.. It's either a bad or loose connection

Hello .. you should be able to find a replacement for your fan control at any building supply store, a home depot type store. Look or ask for a variable speed fan control. This is slightly different from a normal liight dimmer . You might also look for a replacement knob before replacing the whole switch, or matbe getting a replacement just to replace the knob ..

Hunter ceiling fan. Lights and fans turn on and off by themselves.Both fans are on the same wall switch and are operated by separate remotes.

I just installed a 2nd hunter fan model 23811 that also seems to be controlled by grimlins. If the power is left on, the light and fan randomly turn on and off. And no, it is not due to fans being on the same frequency. It appears to be an issue with the control module. I'm contacting Hunter.

I just recently purchased a hunter ceiling fan w/light and remote. Had it installed and wall switch would not work, only remote. I contacted Hunter company directly about this problem and I was told that they redesigned their fans with remotes so that only the remote works for turning off power to fan. The person who made that made that BRILLIANT change should be fired. So to those of you who own a newer hunter an product with a remote ne your wall switch will not work tat s te reason why.
