Prints one or two lines then you get a scrambled error message and it stops until you press on button then it does the same thing again, I have unplugged everything several times and even uninstalled and...

Use the HP Toolbox to perform the following tasks:
  • Calibrate the printer to align the print cartridges.
  • Clean the print cartridges when lines and dots are missing from your printout.
  • Print a test page to check for clarity after cleaning or to verify that the printer can receive data and print from the computer correctly.
  • Print a diagnostic page to show how the print cartridge nozzles are working.
  • Calibrate the photo tray to correctly position your photos.
  • Check the ink levels of the print cartridges. Adjust the printer configuration.
  • Investigate warning conditions.
Opening the HP Toolbox from the printer icon
  1. Double-click the HP Digital Imaging Monitor and make sure you are on the correct printer tab.
  2. Click Settings and then click Print Settings .
  3. Click the Printer Toolbox choice.

I just bought a new computer-how do I hook up my hp 7310 printer to it?

I would recommend looking in the instruction manual. Insert the CD, let it install. Plug the printer in, Print.

Printer keeps showing Office Jet 8500 Wireless

The printer wants to align the print cartridge, if you print out the alignment sheet, and then following instruction, place on scanner and scan it in etc, and it fails to callibrate, I have found it is because some of the information on the calibration page is not being printed correctly so therefore machine cant calibrate the print heads from it, this is normally due to poor quality cartridges or failing/empty print cartridge or cartridges, these use two I think, and I bet one of the colours from the colour isn't printing properly, replace colour cart if blacks look good. Below is a link to HP so you can see what a alignment page needs to look like to pass calibration, compare yours and you may find a colour is dodgy on it.

Printing problems with HP officejet 7310

You actually have to get the HP drivers uninstalled and then go through the registry to delete all instances of HP and then reinstall drivers ,making sure you have the drivers for Vista and not XP. For going through the registry you must know what you are doing. I can assist.

Need 2 calibrate my hp 1210 printer

Hi *s*

(bottom left corner windows START)
got to;
start/settings/printers/ and click

right click your printer and select printing preferences
click on the tab that says SERVICES
then click on the services icon button (picture)

you will see three choices;
align,
clean
print a test page.

Aligning is what you want.(calibration is just a different word)

You can also remove the ink cartridges as you usually do and then put them back in, this triggers and automatic printed page and then walks you through scanning and the alignment.*s*

if by chance you still have blurry printing and know your machine should be ok, try cleaning.( same procedure, different last choice- you clean the heads)

You can also check to see if the proper paper is selected. For instance, if you are trying to print heavy greeting card paper it must be set to that or it will not print properly. *s*

If you have thrown up your hands and tried all this, and nothing works. Go through your printer preferences and select SET DEFAULT SETTINGS buttons.
It will knock everything back to the way it left the factory *S*

Thank you and good luck. Please remember to give my answer a rating *S*
