Remove
the Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer pusher from the chute. The pusher is
the pestle-like device that slides into the chute through which you
insert fruits and vegetables.
Pull
down gently on the silver locking bar that holds lid, base, blade and
other internal mechanisms together. Pull the locking bar forward until
it snaps from the locked position and drops down to a 90-degree angle
from its initial upright position.
Remove
the lid from the base of the juicer. Lift the lid so that it reveals
the internal workings of the juicer, including the blade and filter.
Remove the pulp collector from the juicer area.
Insert
the pegs of the Power Juicer's crescent tool into the compatible holes
on the blade. Push down on the crescent tool and turn it
counterclockwise to unlock the blade. Carefully lift the blade from the
Power Juicer's base.
Lift
the filter from the base. The filter looks like a coffee pot filter and
captures the pulp that the blades shave away from your juiced fruits
and vegetables.
Lift
the receptacle from the base. The receptacle is the last remaining
removable piece of the Power Juicer. This mechanism captures the
extracted juice and drains it out into your glass through its spout.

Peel 4 medium size oranges and place in the juicer.
Juicing Tip: When juicing oranges (or any kind of citrus
fruit) it is a good idea to juice the white
membranes at the center of the orange. The majority of the
bio-flavonoids in citrus fruits are found in the white membranes. Scrape
off some of the white membranes inside the peel and include them in the
juice. We don't recommend juicing the whole peel, this will produce a
very sour unpleasant juice.
Make sure the orange blade is properly seated and screwed in place. Don't screw it too tight though. If it still touches the top cover, sand it off or file it off. Whatever the blade touches the white portion of the cover, file it off.
Use the orange tool to remove the blade. IF you don't have the tool,
just find a big wire around 1/8 diameter thick . Bend it and insert both ends
on the blade holes. Cover the sharp blade with cloth or use leather
gloves. Turn and remove the blade. The orange filters removes easy.
