If you are doing diagnostics correctly and start button is unresponsive, control board is most likely the problem

electronics fail most often when new. would not be surprised to see you have a logic board failure.
a new unit should not have any issue that would contribute to a malfunction, so looking for door switch problems or motor problems seems like a waste. call the service center for the unit.
good luck

SOURCE: Amana dryer

Check your fuses or breaker. An electric dryer requires 240 volts to operate. In a fuse box system, 2-30 amp fuses are required for an electric dryer to operate. If 1 fuse is blown it will not start or heat depending on which fuse is blown.
In a breaker system the breaker can trip and sometimes look ok. Find your 30 amp dryer breaker and reset it by flipping the lever to off, then back on.
If this doesn't help, you may have a faulty door switch or maybe your door has loosened from the hinges and has sagged a bit, breaking contact with the door switch plunger.
If you can locate the door switch, push on the plunger... you should hear an audible click...if you do then the door switch is normally ok, but not always, it is just a simple test to rule a bad switch which is normally silent if it is faulty.
You may want to inspect for a burned wire or wire termination.
Make sure dryer is unplugged from the power source before inspecting!!!
Other than the previous instructions, it is difficult for a novice to diagnose the problem...call a technician in to fix your dryer.
1 more thing, Just because a breaker appears to be on, and/or you flipped it off then on, doesn't mean the breaker is ok. Fuses also can look good and be bad. A small volt-ohm meter($10.00) is a good investment for testing voltage, and to save time and money.

Hope this gets you up and running.

SOURCE: C45072 Kenmore washer will not start. Did one

I've been going crazy with this too. Turns out all you have to do is hold down the "options" & "select" buttons at the same time until the "lock light" (the light just above the "pause/cancel" button) turns off. I guess that's why there is a line under the option/select buttons that have a lock symbol connecting the two.

Cheers!

SOURCE: How do I fix my

http://whirlpool.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2948
Hi please go to this above link, it is all explained at length what is going on and what to do.

This error code indicates that excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle.
If a "Sud" or "Sd" error code is displayed, or if you can see excessive suds in the window:
There are too many suds in the washing machine. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sud" or "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the tumbling and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This pause and rinsing are necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds. See the animation below for more information.

  • If you see "Sud" or "Sd" with the Rinse status light on, the washer is in the process of removing suds. Let the cycle continue.
  • If you see "Sud" or "Sd" and the Cycle Complete light is on, the washer detected too many suds during the cycle and your load may not be fully rinsed or water may not be fully removed. You may want to select a Rinse/Spin cycle for further rinsing.

The previous question was about my amana ntw4600yq0 washer. Nothing happens when I push the start button. Please help.

If you read my answer to a question about a tumble dryer that would not star. Most of what I said applies to washing machines as well but also look at the door latch switch too.

Wtw 4950 wont start

you need to get into diagnostic mode and check the error codes. This washer will give you couple of error codes but the first one is the latest. To check error codes
How to Read Vertical Modular Washer VMW Error Code Display
Calibrate/reset error
How to Calibrate Top Load Washer

After calibration/resetting the codes, check error code again that will give you correct error code. If there's no error possible problem is the actuator.

Dry cycle won't start

Commonproblems...blown house fuse, broken belt ( on some models )...door switch...*thermal fuse open (venting needs attention )...broken or burnt wire....timer....motor, in order from mostcommon to least common. * If you find a blown thermal fuse, always clean, change, adjust the ventingsystem and vent hood first, then it is often a good idea to replace the operatingthermostat at the same time. This is a picture of some modernthermal fuses.

NFW7200TW washer won't engage spin cycle

We had the same problem with the same model machine and solved it.

Our machine was a month old and started getting stuck at minute 8, so we arranged service calls through Amana customer service. Long story short, the first three service reps couldn't figure out the problem. Two of them called Amana's in-house tech support line and the Amana techs didn't know what the problem was. The fourth repairman was smarter than his predecessors. He called the Amana in-house tech line, spoke to a rep who didn't know what was wrong, and then called in again. He explained that. based on his experience, some in-house techs knew more than others. That turned out to be the case because on his next call-in to Amana, that rep knew exactly what the problem was and recommended replacing the main computer board module. The repair guy ordered and installed the part. The machine has been working perfectly for a month.
