When depressing the oven compartment light switch on my whirlpool range, its beeps 3 times and the light will not come on.

The F5-E1 error code means that their is a problem with the switch on the self clean door latch...it (the switch) is telling the control board that the door is locked even though it may be open so it will not let the oven come on

If you receive error codes F5-E0, F5-E1 or F5-E2, the door and latch switch need checking and possible replacement.

The door switch is #12 in the diagram (click image for zoom)...

2. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary.

3. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check for binding of the Latch Cam, Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam.

4. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check to see if Lock Motor Coil is open. If open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

5. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Lock Motor continuously runs - if Micro Switch is open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

6. (F92, 93 & 94) Check oven door Light Switch - if open, replace Switch.

7. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace EOC.

unplug the range.
wait 1 minute.
turn the range back on,
then while holding in on the oven door.
start another self clean.
wait 2 minutes.
then cancel the self clean.

do not release the door until the door lock light goes out.

You said, model WHIRLPOOL WEP54800 Stove starts to beep at different times of the day.After four beeps F2 shows up and continues to beep when it feels it should. The control board has been checked twice and A new oven sensor installed. EVERY thing works perfect.This all started after water was brought to A boil on the back burner

But something is wrong!!??
Check your model number.
It is not showing up anywhere in the repair manuals or error codes.
Not even Canada.
What country did you buy it in?
How old is this range?

These are the only F2 codes I found in whirlpool so far!

F2 - Oven temperature sensor shorted = Replace oven temperature sensor

F2-Oven temperature above specifications = 8-pin connector oven temperature sensor to the Electronic Range Control (ERC)
