WHAT IS KINETIC ENERGY

kinetic energy is an expression of the fact that a moving object can do work on anything it hits, it quantifies the amount of work the object could do as a result of its motion.

My kenetic battery ( i think) operated watch ,N0, on the back plate-

First, does it say "Kinetic" on the face of the watch? If not, it is not a Seiko Kinetic. (You did not mention if it was a Kinetic or not.)

Second, the Serial number is not like any Seiko Kinetic I know, which is 2 4 digit numbers.

Third: The number you gave itself may indicate the type of button battery you need.

Good luck.

Hi, my BO5010 spins like a grinder if it is not held tightly to the workpiece, can it be fixed? Thanks, Ope.

Just under the sandpaper pad is a bearing that allows the pad to work as an orbital, that is it can turn freely, independently of the armature. If enough sawdust builds up around or inside this bearing the pad will spin like you describe and this is a fairly common problem with orbital sanders. You need Makita part number 211236-8 or a bearing #6002LL. It's fairly easy to replace; remove the screw in the center of the pad and remove it. Depending on which is tighter, the bearing will either be in the back of the pad or it will stay on the armature. Pry it off/out of the sander. Reassemble everything with the new bearing and you'll be back in business.

My 5" random orbit sander model 333 is spinning out of control. What do I do?

I may not have the whole picture, but all random orbits spin wildly if they are not pressed onto the wood a little. Do you mean it is not oscellating, but just spinning when it is on the wood? That would be an issue requiring cleaning or repair, otherwise, just don't turn it on until you have placed it on the wood to avoid marring.

Dewalt d26451 type 1 random orbital sander. why does this sander jump around on the material and feel like it's fighting me all the time instead of sanding smooth and easy?

I have the same problem with a Porter Cable orbital sander I recently purchased. Whats happening is the sander is catching the edge of the board you're trying to sand and jerking back and forth as the sander base spins. It seems that if the board your're sanding is at least as wide as the sander base, the problem goes away, which does little good because there will be many times I we'll need to sand wood that is less in size. But you may try using a lesser grit sandpaper and see if that alleviates the problem somewhat.

I have a porter cable 7800 sander, when i turned on the sander everything is spinning but the orbital part. i have changed the brushes and other minor things but dont have a clue how to open the orbital...

The best way to sand drywall is to use a pole sander (manually). You can pick them up for about $20.

This particular machine tends to leave grooves in the drywall compound if you are not familiar with how to use it.

Putting Sanding paper on makita sander

A makita power planer is just what it says, a planer. It has blades that spin at high speed and remove a thin layer of wood with each pass. The orbital sanding sheets go on another tool called an orbital sander. Write back if you find the sander and can not figure out how the sheets go on it.

Orbital or Straight Comparison

An orbital reciprocating saw moves in a more elliptical or oval shape rather than just up and down. This makes it more aggressive and gives it a faster cut. Straight reciprocating saws move on a single plane, back and forth.
